It's amazing that there aren't many videos on this subject. Gaskets hanging into the chamber have led to so many torched heads and blocks.

Hey good news.. BTR now has ls9 head gaskets for small bore now. 4.8, and 5.3. Made by the same gm manufacturer

Im running into this problem with my Brodix IK180 heads, im using (or was) FelPro 1010 gaskets (they don't brintle the heads,are used by GM on aluminum heads)but 2 of the cylinders in 1 area overhang just a pinch, I'm not willing to risk it as it's a 10:1 motor. The diameter is 4.166 on the 1010 and 1003, I've seen a 4.190 and 4.200 in the catalog..

This video just saved me cause I forgot to check this on the prc 257cc 68cc heads, had some cometic 4.100 goin on a 4.70 416 but this video popped up and I'm like oh yea I forgot to check and yep it is about .003 in the chamber, thank you for saving me a detonation mess, these unshrouded the valve by a bit
