Can't say I know too many people who make their own instruments. The Cylisax looks and sounds great, and with some pretty impressive soloing to top it all off.

That instrument is so cool! And I love your Rainforest Conversations piece. I’ve been listening to it on repeat these last few days.

It sounds like a soprano saxophone pitched in C. Beautiful sound.

sounds lovely! do you find a lot of your instruments the finger hole positions are mostly trial and error? or do you find whatever mathematical formulae you use to be fairly accurate? I've found that when looking into woodwind construction, it seems fairly complex to work out hole placement, especially when talking about using things like cross fingerings etc.

yes Dylan, it is complex and is a matter of refining and refining and improving with each respective prototype

Very nice indeed. Is there a thumb hole? Do you overblow just by lipping? I'm experimenting with keyless tarogato-things, but they are hard to overblow more than about a fourth into the second octave. cheers from rainy Vienna, Scott

Would be it possible, to make it with double-hole, for the Do, Ré, Fa, Sol ?
@Woolley_like_sheep5 жыл бұрын
I think you could get way more than 2 octaves with altissimo, how I tune that would be idk. Such a cool horn

Great sounding instrument (and great soloing)! You mention in the description that the instrument is fully chromatic when using cross fingerings. Do you have a fingering chart available somewhere for download? Because I'm really curious how similar the fingering are to a standard saxophone. For instance, would the low C#/Db and D#/Eb be played by partially covering some of the lower holes (like a recorder) or by using cross fingerings? Keep up the great work!

I can email you a fingering chart if you send my your email address: linsey@spiderweb.com.au
