One solo that is so overlooked, but is so true to her statement, is the solo in "The Dragon Cries". It totally fits the song (like MISA and Akane's part just before it). Despair, helplessness and anger might not be pretty, but it was not meant to be.
@jimr43543 жыл бұрын
Its not only that guitar solo,it's that ultra beautiful Miku background vocal after it. It's pure Miku magic. That contrast. No other band does that. Have that unique quality. It's the trademark of a great band. The west has a lot to learn from the east's musical education programs. Band Maid is a true sign of that.

Enjoyed and here is the English translation to the Lyrics for Daydreaming: Daydreaming, don’t wake up Nothing I can do with my hoarse voice Be close to me just for tonight Hold on, feel my soul Swayed in the moonlight The shadows of two people cross Clumsily entangled They wished for the night to get brighter It may be wrong Even though I think it’s speeding up I want to still believe I want to feel more living this moment (Daydreaming, dreaming of you) (Daydreaming, dreaming of you) So I’m daydreaming, don’t wake up Nothing I can do with my hoarse voice Be close to me just for tonight Don’t go I want to daydream, don’t vanish away We cannot go back, I don't want to lose you Be close to me just for tonight Hold on, feel my soul The distance that makes us feel our sighs Is somehow so dear to me The shadows of the two who started moving Melt in the brightening night It may be wrong Even though I think it’s speeding up I want to still believe I want to feel more living this moment (Daydreaming, dreaming of you) (Daydreaming, dreaming of you) (Daydreaming, dreaming of you) (Daydreaming, dreaming of you) So I’m daydreaming, don’t wake up Nothing I can do with my hoarse voice Be close to me just for tonight Don’t go I want to daydream, don’t vanish away We cannot go back, I don't want to lose you Be close to me just for tonight Hold on, feel my soul

One of the few truly "Professional" rock bands alive today. You can listen to any of their instruments on it's own in this track and be pretty amazed, but when you combine them together you get something very special. The dynamics here is really cool. Each drag you along with something fairly simple and then start to change and build each section. All the time knowing that they are building to that guitar solo and when it comes it just cuts to the bone. Lots of style and know how on how to write and arrange.

That solo is a masterstroke. Like some sort of heartrenching emotion distilled into a melody. Never fails to get me on the feels. Easily among my fav solos of all times, bar none. Tbh it isn’t anything extraordinary technically but the way the whole songs builds upto it and how it perfectly elevates a decent song into a masterpiece with pure, unadulterated emotions is just . . beautiful. This is the kind of song that’d make me die without regrets if I ever manage to write a piece like it. Another piece of songwriting magic from Kanami. A sign of a great band is to have diversity in their catalogue. There’s really no other band that has that ability. Combine it all so well here. The hard riffs and solo from Kanami then the ultra beautiful vocal from Miku let alone her joint vocal with Saiki. Saiki in her performance is as good as ever. The Maids deserve so much more recognition and accolades from the music industry. Whether the American mainstream will acknowledge it is another matter. They have a significant niche market at the moment in 66 countries according their virtual performance representation. Hope the language barrier doesn’t stop more appreciating the band’s talents. Very unique when you can write material as diverse as Rinne to About Us. Shocks many when hearing their quieter material but that’s what makes a great band. That band definitely is Band Maid.

I may repeat other fans' comments, but Kanami said it was its most difficult song to compose to date and that it is still her favorite solo! No wonder! They will surprise you every time because no less than three of them have an extensive musical multi-instrumental education with the 4th one, Miku achieving the fate of mastering her rhythmic guitar from scratch under the tutelage of a loving teacher in the person of Kanami. Add to this a very unusual (in Japan) singer who is still progressing beyond imagination! They will tour the US in the second half of 2022! Gear yourself! Best regards, Robert-Gilles

Thank You! Your reaction and words mirror almost 1 to 1 what I felt and thought the first time I heard this song. Right from the start, every single tiny detail in this song/video has an emotional component attached to it. Be it the drums and bass of Akane and Misa, the voices of Saiki and Miku, and definitely not least Kanami's guitar playing, which I even see as the third voice. With the short break and the slide at the beginning of the solo, it seems to me like the point at which all the emotions just burst out. Almost like a scream of despair, which feels like a volcanic eruption with half the mountain being blown away. I can't put my finger on exactly why it is because I don't have a specific thought or situation in my mind, but every time I hear this song it hits a very specific spot in my chest area. And that's why it's a masterpiece for me and the undisputed #1 from the ladies so far. 【 'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!' - Band-Maid 】🕊️

On most Band-Maid songs, Saiki says she sings the emotion she calls "Nothing". But when Band-Maid goes for the heart, they aim dead center for the bullseye and they never miss. Between Miku's lyrics and Kanami's intial vocal and guitar score, Saiki has has all the material she needs to pour out the emotions vocally and Miku's backing vocals amplify this. For comparison try "Page", "About Us", or one of the several versions of "Puzzle", especially the acoustic version.
