My mom died 2 months ago, and like a month ago i started listening to Cynic. I really don't know why this song reminds me so much of her... :\ Beautiful, beautiful song. Especially the natural harmonics at the end. They make me want to cry. I'm really glad i discovered this band. Cynic rocks!!!

Hey, I know exactly what you mean. I lost my daughter of 13 months and although Ive owned this album since before her birth, it is this one and True Hallucination Speak that I used to rock her back to sleep on those grueling sleepless night of hers. So, no need to be confused as to why this reminds you of your mother, bless her soul. I understand where you are coming from. I offer my condolensces.

From the mountain top He looks upon the crowds Mindful among the mindless Unbound King of those who know I’m sheltering the fears The loneliness exposed An ocean born of tears For the world The churchyard bells Ring mine for just today Save me from hope That I’ll be saved King of those who know My thirst unquenchable The rain could become gold And share my box of bones In the ground We raise the vibratory level so high That all untruth will fall Of it’s own dead weight King of those who know I’ve taken off my clothes The diamond crushed the stone And gave the world a heart Our karma’s all been burned The molecules emerge In a world beyond this world We dare, speak the word King of those who know Into the pure abodes

My favorite track off of Traced in Air, it's just incredibly musically symmetrical. Well-rounded, great song writing (on par with The Beatles)-- and some totally jazzy sections. And the only track where I can see the faintest glimmer of Focus in the distance like at 2:29. This song takes you somewhere else and then gently floats your evolved and stupified self back down to the chair in front of your computer.

The only Death Metal song that can make devout Christians start bawling. This song and Integral Birth are absolutely gorgeous and so universal. This entire album transcended genres into so many people's minds and hearts. So ahead of it's time, so inspirational that The Contortionist capitalized on it's beauty with their own album 'Language'. Rest in Peace to both Seans, your talents will be sorely missed.

being compared to that of focus, the band's maturity and musicianship has been taken to another level which a lot of metal bands trying to make spot on the metal world cant get at par with. judging by how they manage to create an atmosphere of peace due to music makes this guys more than what they are years when they first release focus.
