Thanks for all of your amazing support everyone. I’m not entirely certain how to feel about doing these Snarkathon sessions solo. It’s pretty exhausting, but with Jesse Cox already being at e3 and Dodger being on Dropped Frames for e3, I didn’t feel that I would have instant chemistry with anyone else right out of the gate. Next year, I promise I’ll do better. I’d also like to say thank you to everyone who has left a comment on this video. I’ve reopened the comments because I don’t believe in censorship. I believe the comment section is the most direct way for me to find out if you enjoy what it is that I’m doing. For anyone who might be upset in my using this channel for content as opposed to my own channel, I apologize. John made it very clear to me that he wanted his legacy to be carried on. I will do my best by him, but if it turns out that I am unable to provide the quality of information and entertainment that he once did, hopefully someone else will pick up his mantle for the sake of the games industry and the consumers of our gaming community. I think I'm starting to realize what John meant when he had Genna take over the channel. It isn't as simple as just saying that someone ought to continue the legacy of what John accomplished in his time, to snark upon the game industry with such care and measured critical severity as to genuinely have a good effect on it. No one can replace him, and no one should. But all that he had done to inspire in others. The true legacy of "Total Biscuit" is to encourage others to look upon the barren landscape of game design and game industry ethics with both a critical eye as well as hopeful optimism for the future of an artistic medium which, while largely controlled by money mongers, has far more potential to bring us humble peons (persons) to places of feeling, and mind, and character which would have been impossible less than a hundred years ago. No one can replace john, but Genna has serious chops. Both as a gamer, and as a critic. John's legacy will live on in our hearts, minds, and souls for as long as any of us can remember, in good hope, as long as history can remember. We must all carry on as we will in these trying times, to follow in the foot steps of the giant who came before us, to make our own. But there is only one who is qualified, let alone fit to carry on the mantle of what he once provided, by name and creed. The king is dead. Long live the queen. Genna "Total Biscuit" Bain. Reflections Observer She has stated multiple times that she is very grateful for any encouragement in these trying times. She is presumably still in the early stages of mourning. I highly doubt from my own experiences that she is able to stop thinking about him at all. Those are my reasons for believing that my encouragement would be welcome and helpful. Since you think differently I would be grateful if you tried to persuade me by stating your reasons, as I cannot see how at this point trying to ignore recent events all together would be constructive at all at this point.

I'm with ya 100% on Warframe's new player experience :< I love the game to bits, but it's hard for new players to go in with welcomed arms if they're not a known figure (where many would likely jump at the opportunity to help) or someone to progress alone. It's certainly much better than way before and slowly improving. Yer snarkin' is A+, hopefully we can also see a return to the Snarktank too!

I totally agree with Warframe. The cast of the Jimquistion mentioned the same thing, that the tutorial is lacking, but the game is fun if you can learn it. They said you should have the wiki up constantly. Personally I don't want to feel like I have to study like I'm at university to have my fun. Gavin Dunne (Miracle of Sound) has a Discord group of mostly expert players to teach him and Laura K. Buzz (I'm assuming she's joined by this point, since he offered) how to play the game. They are generally looking for experienced players to join to teach them, but I'm sure given your and your late husband's friendship with them and your youtube popularity, they'd be willing to let you in. Hi Genna! I just wanted to say a massive thank you for making this video. There’s something about your persona that is so similar to Johns and it was so heartwarming to watch. I really wish I was able to meet him before his passing, he made me laugh so hard at times it’d almost bring out tears, but he also made me think differently in ways I approach games, I’m so grateful for that. I hope you continue to put out videos, they’re great, but I also understand what you’re going through right now. In saying that, you have such a strong community right here for you. Back to the topic of your snarkathon videos. You definitly need a partner for thoose kind of things to bounce back jokes and to make it easier for you but you already guessed that reading your pinned comments. But overall I think you did a good job and with everything in life I think you will get better at these kind of things by just doing them. tbh like you Genna I play a lot of games singleplayer just because I find that friends are hard to cox into playing certain games and random players spoil my fun. But I did player a GOOD amount of Warframe singleplayer and found it's fairly enjoyable when you get how to earn platinum efficiently.

some feedback on the audio mix: the e3 footage was quite low compared to your audio, and it ducked even further during speaking. The ducking might be fine if just the levels were adjusted to be more similar pre-ducking.

bami2 I have 32 gigs of RAM. The only other time I've ever used that much is for modded minecraft. Even if this game is poorly optimized I'll still be able to enjoy it.

+dogishappy0 RAM won't really be a limiting factor, you can fit a significant part of the universe in 16 GB. It's more the massive amounts of entities that will make your cpu catch flames. Just look at the factorio devblogs to see the effort they have had to do to make their game run as well as it does. Now add the complexity of rendering such a complex system in 3D is a recipe for melted silicon. The complexity of factorio is what it makes appealing and so incredibly replayable to me and many others (hence there things like angels mods), but it's also something that will make the translation to 3D so much harder. I'm afraid they'll have to simplify it a whole bunch to make it run somewhat reasonable when you have a large factory. And it's not like there aren't any examples of complex games grinding to a halt when there is too much shit going on at once. I really hope they make a great game that plays well, but it's currently not enough for me to get truly hyped for a game like how I was when I saw the first factorio trailer.

Not sure if that is good idea from them. Part of what makes Factorio so addictive is how easy is to build and do things with high precision and speed. I doubt it would be so easy within 3d world. What would be awesome is for Factorio to have option to switch to this 3d world but still be able to build from top down look.

I really like playing Warframe, but yeah, they really make it hard for a new player to understand anything. I mean, basically forcing a player to use information from a website to have any idea what to do is not good at all. If I didn't have a couple friends helping me in the beginning I wouldn't have lasted for about 500 hours now. @Genna. If you are going to try playing it, try and get a friend that knows it, and that can help you with quests and stuff. It really helps.
