Oh, my! Soapbox Cyn is at it again! Although I enjoyed The Substance more than you did, the messiness of the story and the third act definitely detracts from the overall experience. I wasn't that into Longlegs or Alien: Romulus, and I walked away feeling SO underwhelmed by both. Shymalan utilizing nepotism to deliver two cinematic disasters in 2024? OOF!!! 😭😭😭

I suppose I should consider myself fortunate that I didn't subject myself to some of these films. I avoided Time Cut, because I only became aware of it once it got dragged for how horribly 2003 was replicated. Particularly for those who were teens at the time. Joker and The American Society of Magical Negroes were putrid, and great point about how American Fiction blew the latter out of the water. 😴😴😴
