This is a fantastic video with great information. Science FTW! Michelle from Lab Muffin told her viewers about your channel-- very happy to be here. 🙂

I was sent to your channel by LabMuffin's recommendation and I have to say: Very good insight, well explained and for sure a ton of work (as I work in the field, I know wht I'm talking about). And as a cherry on top: simplified without compromising on accuracy 🎉

I know you are a Master Student, and I don't know you so don't take my opinion with too much weight, but I believe you should think about pursuing a PhD in Chemistry/Toxicology/Pharmacy. The work you have done, in only three weeks is unbelievable. Amazing video!

Thank you so much for your hard work putting this together. I am so annoyed that I purchased the oil thinking the recommendation was reliable. Luckily it took a while to be delivered so I saw yours and Michelle's concerns before receiving it. It's going in the bin now. What a waste of money and resources.

Hi Mo! I am here from Dr Wong’s KZbin video, debunking the myth of a video of a toxicologist on the channel of Diary of a CEO. Thank you for explaining things so succinctly in your video! Commenting so your videos get more reach. Thanks for doing this :)

I've been very excited for this video! It's so frustrating how people assume natural extracts are safe without proper saftey data. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into this, I appreciate it greatly!

Thank you so much Ruby, I totally share your frustration and sometimes it feels depressing trying to undo the damage that some just do with 5 sec video

Thanks for making this video! I hope you have a chance to review the toxicologist interview from the diary of a CEO :) I feel like she is truly trying to do whats best but might be jumping the gun on some accusations as there needs to be a lot more research. She might feel super justified bc she deduced that toxins were the cause for her infertility and doesn't want others to experience that harm, which I get, but her science seems clouded. It's hard to see nuance when you've been personally affected and are trying to save others. For example, she acknowledges that there needs to be more research, but continues to make suggestions and seems to imply that if we find correlation, it's proof of causation. I'd love to see where you agree and disagree with her. I was pretty surprised she didn't talk about the pollution of gas stoves, which I'd think is the #1 pollutant at home. Maybe she did and I just missed it

This is remarkable - an incredible amount of work 👏🏼👏🏼 💕 Before the vid popped up, I'd found one paper (seemed to a lay-person a half-decent trial),comparing it's efficacy for hyperpigmentation,compared to hydroquinone(plus a placebo group ) ....other than that,a few random online groups extolling its virtues as a 'natural' 😕 hair remover ( I was *trying* to find out what on earth was doing the work in an oil that would make your body hair fall out ... I couldn't find any proper answer,so I just concluded that whatever it was, it's probably not good 😊) . Thank you so,so much ✌🏼💕
@Moskinlab2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much, yes that paper if i am not mistaken is by the same author, it’s an attempt by that author to really glamorise that oil benefits. Most likely it’s just an oil that have a risk that need more investigation and no solid evidence for efficacy 😊

Hi Mo! Thank you for the video, I was waiting for your assessment about those viral videos. It really makes me sad that medical doctors are taking obviously low quality studies to try to sell these things and even more so saying that is more effective than the current acceptable treatments, those people are even trained in Ivy League unis in the US and I 100% think they know what they are doing (specially her that has a skincare brand). People think essential oils are this innocuous elements when they are not. I have seen a case report (haven't read the complete article) about a possible association of lavender essential oil use and precocious puberty in children, both girls and boys due to estrogenic effects in breast tissue. It would be interested if you could assess this also (although is a really long process) because your input is really necessary with all this 'clean beauty' trends that sells really expensive products with multiple essential oils. 😄

Yeah i dont care if is natural, if a sustance has this absorption and potencial of system distribution withouth having proper studies to back it up , is scary. Thanks for doing all this hard work, i dont like magical compunds that come from no where, also is kind of dissapointing seeing a doctor with a huge platform suggesting the use of chemicals withouth backing

I saw a study about this cyperus oil used for genital lightening, can you do a video about body pigmentation and what actives to use to treat it and to tell the difference between hyperpigmentation and a skin condition called FADES (Frictional asymptomatic darkening of the extensor surfaces).

I am disappointed but not surprised. Perhaps the compounds will be isolated and the research that comes out of it will result in safe products to be used for hair growth reduction, here’s to hoping! Edit: Can you look into tiger nut oil next? I saw some people recommending it for the same purpose of slowing hair growth, looking at a meta analysis about it briefly it seems as though it’s pretty different chemically than Cyperus oil so I’m interested to know the potential toxicity from your perspective. Honestly probably a silly question since it’s edible, but I’d still like to hear your thoughts or how exactly it may work.
