Excellent stuff! Just wish the mix had been a bit louder but grateful that this is available nevertheless. A tight band who clearly enjoyed playing music together 👍

Remember seeing the Pirates at the Locarno in Bristol ,March 1977. Absolutely brilliant. Should have liked to have seen them with Johnny Kidd had I been 10 years older.

Pure raw rock n' roll!, yes Mick Green totally underrated but he was at least recognised by other guitarists.

Even a few Wilko mannerisms on 'I Can Tell', which of course was a Feelgood standard

Saw the lads at Folkestone Leas Cliff Hall 1977 out of their skulls tour. Great gig, talked to some us after - 3 absolute diamonds and frank gave me a drumstick.

What a rock and roll band, they did an in concert for the BBC which was also good. I'm sure Wilko must have been a fan of the guitarist.

Great to see this band again..I must have gone to half a dozen of their gigs..I was a punk in 77 but we all loved the Pirates!! Jason, I presume you are Frank's son? If so I met your dad several times in the 70s and he was a really good bloke..real friendly group..used to let us into sound checks..great days!

In a way, it's similar to what The Beatles did in Hamburg (one may easily check their live gigs by searching "The Beatles Hamburg 1962 live"), only with a more powerful sound. But the energy, it's there. There's something about British bands playing American rock'n'roll in Germany...
