There are many inaccuracies in the video about the political situation. North is a de facto regime not de juris. Never been a Turkish portion of Cyprus, rather pockets scattered around the island. Most Turkish Cypriots are just locals turned Muslim way back. In fact for GB up until 1948 they were referred to as the Muslim minority. For reasons of divide and rule they were fast tracked into identifying as Turks. Much like what is happening in Thrace today. 40.000 Turkish troops in the North makes it obvious who is in absolute control. A puppet pseudo-state on stolen land in the North. Officially, the Cyprus Republic is the administrator of sovereignty over the whole of the island. Due to the invasion and occupation it can only exercise control in the South. Accession to the EU in 2004 is of the island as a whole. Turkish Cypriots enjoy all the benefits both from the Republic of Cyprus (pensions, hospitalisation, passports etc) and the EU. A really peculiar situation simply because International Law for this historical island has been suspended.

Yiu are very much misrepresenting the politicsl situation in Cyprus. Turkey occupies the North. It is NOT an independent state. It is OCCUPIED. As a Greek Cypriot this is completely unacceptable way to refer to the situation at hand. The Republic of Cyprus is the only legal state over the whole island. Nonody recognises the North. Prior to the Turkish invasion there was no turkish north it was always majority Greek. Unacceptable.

The northern part of Cyprus is known as the illegally occupied part of Cyprus. it is not recognised by any country except Turkey. TRNC does not exist.

Omg! You have many facts so wrong. No such thing as Northern Cyprus. It’s an illegal unrecognized area, invaded by Turkey in 1974. No country except Turkey recognizes that so called Turkish State. Turkey does 100% govern. Without Turkey there wouldn’t be a division as they still have 40,000 troops on the island. The island was handed over to the Cypriots both Greeks and Turks in 1960 as it gained independence. The bus services are adequate with timetables to all major cities and yes, evening at night. Many airlines fly into Larnaca or Paphos airports with very good connectivity and improving every year. You have painted the island very poorly, sadly
