I'm not a fan of not having an instrument cluster/screen in front of the driver however, I am happy they have a heads up display, hopefully they also have info on the battery, range, etc., up there in addition to speed and map info. I also like that you have a lot of rear headroom with the roof style. This I would buy, just on looks but, it also has a lot of things going for it that makes it a great car. I would like to see some highway driving at 120KPH to see how it handles wind noise as well as some track driving for handling use. I have to add, the Polestar 4 should have what this car has on it's base rear motor setup, similar battery with charge time. If the price isn't too much more once exported, a performance version would be nice to have in the range,

I thought exactly the same, coming from a VW GTI mk7.5, which has buttons for everything and dash that is centered around the driver. I always thought the Tesla dash looked bare, and I would never get used to looking at a center screen. I thought I would never get used to, or enjoy driving a car without a driver centric dash. But I was wrong... After test driving a Tesla model 3, I came away pleasantly surprised and impressed and actually bought the car. I personally find it enjoyable to drive, and that comes from someone who has been driving a VW GTI for a few years. I do not miss the steeringwheel dash at all and the speed in the center display is very easy to get used to. I do love the tech and safety features and I charge it in my garage with a slow level 1 charger (regular outlet). That is just my experience.

I was always put off by the fact that I love to drive and that I felt restricted by the EV range and lack of chargers here in south west virginia, but it looks like the technology has caught up with the times and I have several fast chargers nearby and free charging at my work. I think k that finally swayed me over to take a test drive, and the fact that I was very curious to experience EV. I wish VW would bring over the ID.3, which is sort of an electric GTI and has a dash at the steering wheel.

However, I'm not sure if it's a dealer-specific issue, but the maintenance costs are 2 to 3 times higher compared to other cars. While the initial price is low, over time, the overall ownership cost ends up being the same or even higher. I'm comparing this with Honda and Toyota, which we also own.
