Bro I was watching Avatar with my boyfriend when playing the part with Sunday and Aventurine talking, and what Sunday was doing to Aventurine seemed like it was going to result in essentially “there is no war in Ba Sing Se” instead into “there is no death in Penacony” on top of Aventurine becoming a puppet to the Family.

At first when i saw the trailer with the Annihilation Gang, i thought that Duke Inferno assigned each of his children to handle each path by random. But after seeing Constance interact with Black Swan, i think that each of his children actually had a power that counters the path that he assigned them to, like how Constance can somehow manipulate memory's or even see into the future. So it really makes me wonder what the other children's abilities were that would make them able to counter their assigned path.

She explicitly lost it after the events on Jarillo where she "failed". There's a conversation on the phone while she's out in the snow where it's made clear she will have her stone taken away from her as punishment for the less-than-advantageous deal she facilitated. It's probably more like it was given to him by Diamond in order to make his plan work. She probably wasn't complicit in the plan itself. Still, point stands, Aventurine didn't steal it and I'm not sure he actually could even if he'd wanted to.

@@octo448 Unless I missed something super major from the Belobog IPC quest, Topaz didn’t lose her stone when she was unable to take Belebog for the IPC. She got demoted and her pay reduced and her bonuses rescinded, nothing about losing her stone. Aventurine explicitly asks her to partner up with him for Penacony, which you can infer as Topaz lending her Cornerstone to Aventurine for his scheme. Edit: corrected terminology

Nah, I think it's because he was the classic flamboyant fuck-boy antagonist archetype that's meant to make the player uncomfortable. This was done deliberately to hit us MUCH HARDER later on when we start seeing his POV.

first meeting felt suspicious, can be considered creepy bcs dude just showed up in Trailblazer's room & started talking shady stuff. if you go way back to the hotel lobby meeting he can give off vibes of some "important" cocky rich boy who doesn't rly care what other ppl think (in actuality, he's a shrewd & cunning businessman planning to make connections). throughout the 2.0 quest we didn't rly see much of him, just know that he's planning smth. given his affiliation to the ipc (which has been a pretty questionable organization ngl), some ppl are convinced that he's a bad guy too, just supporting the ipc taking over another planet ig it's pretty understandable imo, there's a decent amount of factors that make up his bad impressions, even tho he hasn't done anything rly mean at all. esp if you're viewing it from just the astral express perspective. at first I just wanted to know what this guy's deal is & I'm rly glad that he turned out to be a way more nuanced character

46:43 - Just a small suggestion, and I have no idea if it would work, but when someone spoils, maybe it would be best to not announce it and just ban the perpetrator quietly without giving them attention by addressing it. I’m not sure if they want the attention, just want to get a reaction, or just so hyped about the story and theory confirmation that they couldn’t contain their excitement, but by banning them quietly and putting the chat in sub only mode or no text for a bit may help reduce further interruption in the gameplay. I admit it’s only my opinion as a viewer, though as someone who doesn’t pay attention to the chat, every time the stream is interrupted by someone spoiling and it sometimes takes a few minutes to address it and the short explanations.. the rules and guidelines.. so on and so forth, I just feel like it ruins the mood for people who haven’t been paying attention to the spoiler and just want to enjoy the stream. I bring it up because I’ve noticed it has been happening ever since the Calibert Quest in Genshin Impact and it’s gotten to the point where it’s become a bit… repetitive… So that’s why I think keeping it on the down low would be best, especially since there were some viewers who were asking who spoiled and probably want to search for the comment, hence being spoiled themselves. I understand there may be flaws in my suggestion 😅 so I’m not surprised if this comment won’t be taken up into consideration.

Feel a bit sorry for the un-subbed people considering that it seemed like the vast majority of spoilers were posted by subbed people. Then the subbed people spoilering not only got to face no consequences but enjoy a less hectic chat because all the unsubbed people couldn't talk. 1. It wasn't stated how Aventurine got his hands on Topaz's stone. Given that he's been largely depicted negatively so far, they don't have a very good relationship, snd the fact that the stones are so insanely invaluable, it's not unreasonable that she wouldn't have given it to him willingly. 2. Aventurine had been nothing but a smarmy and cocky bastard in 2.0. If anything, most players had a negative attitude towards him before this patch. 3. As for the attention thing, it's not unfounded, but that comes with the territory of being a streamer. While I get it can be frustrating for them to miss something, interacting with the chat is part of the stream.

@@kimbap5631 That interlude happened quite a long time ago at this point and while it was obviously a set up for Penacony since it was already known by that point the Express planned on going there next the conversation ended with no confirmation that Topaz agreed with him and indeed generally gave off the impression that Topaz didn't trust him. Combine that with we see neither hide nor hair of anyone from the IPC besides Aventurine and Ratio until she shows up in the hotel it's easy to assume Topaz didn't want anything to do with Aventurine's scheme. So it's not really unfounded for Cy Yu to think at first that Aventurine must have taken her cornerstone and either that he actually did steal it or she was convinced to let him use it even though she didn't actually want to be personally involved. I certainly spent a while mulling over how he must have gotten his hands on it.

I get that it's hard to be a streamer and not get spoiled, that's awful. But I feel like the way CyYu handles spoilers is the same energy as a teacher that punishes the whole class because one or two kids who didn't get enough attention from their parents will egg the teacher on. Like, this is not a collective assignment, the people who mostly lose out from sub-only mode are not the people who spoiled and had no ability to prevent or stop the person who did choose to spoil. I don't get how it's going to have any measurable impact on behavior when the punishment is so out of line with the 'crime'. It's also hugely disruptive and gives someone who just wants attention exactly what they wanted- more attention and a bunch of people being inconvenienced due to them. Just permaban them. Folks who spoil get quietly banhammered and you'll discover that you get fewer spoilers. Any mod halfway paying attention will clean it up before most folks see it, since they're all watching stream. Punishing the thousands of people in chat who didn't spoil just feels like when a parent punishes on kid's bad grades by cancelling the family trip to Disneyworld.
