Salut Josh, I suspect that for many aspiring PRS shooters you may have just undermined any perceived need they felt they had to invest in a Vudoo rifle. Oh and CZ should make you their US Ambassador. Excellent shooting! Cordialement RB
@PursuitofAccuracy3 жыл бұрын
Hi Romeo. Haha the vudoo is still an excellent rifle and shows up on the tops of most leaderboards......but......they are unecessary to be competitive in prs etc. As far as being the US CZ Ambassador. I would be flattered if they ever offered, but would most likely pass on the offer, unless of course I had the freedom to still say a rifle sucked if it did, truly, suck 😁

At last! A site that gives the necessary information in an accurate and concise fashion for a perspective buyer of a particular type and brand of firearm. The presentation is very professional and well thought out. The no nonsense fire for accuracy test is also appreciated. I am sure that many of the older shooters like me are fed up with watching pseudo macho type 20 and 30 something hosts blazing away at unseen targets with no tangible accuracy measurements and than telling us how much fun that was. Oh, and then telling us how good the trigger felt to him or how smooth the action was. Very scientific. Thanks again for a gold standard presentation. Count me in as subscribed.

Nice review and well done to everyone commenting how good their CZ is. I bought one new in 17hmr and it's rubbish. If you like light strikes and failed detonations with winchester, hornady and federal rounds then go ahead. CZ are of little assistance. Recommending polishing the firing pin so that it travels smoothly in the bolt. My question would be why would it not do that before it leaves the factory. My suggestion is avoid it.

@@PursuitofAccuracy I'm happy for everybody that's enjoying their CZ. All the reviews say they're excellent. That's why I bought one. Extremely disappointed though. My gun dealer has promised to put it right but CZ's response was short and unhelpful. Bring it to a cz supplier gunsmith for repair basically was their advice. It's a new rifle not a 2nd hand scrapper. If it's not an easy remedy it'll be going back and I won't be replacing it with a CZ. I'm open to suggestions on alternatives.

Hello Josh. Thanks for the video. My question is this. Given the fact that I will likely never "compete" in a sanctioned NRL 22 competition and that my primary use of the CZ 457 would be for hunting/plinking, am I totally "off base" to consider the CZ 457 VPT (standard chamber in the Manner's camo stock) as a viable/bit more economical option? I don't mind spending good money for a quality product, yet I don't like wasting money either...lol I really like the concept of the Manner's stock with it's inherent stability and the fact it has aluminum pillars to secure the action. The question is MOA or Mrad. I'm only shooting a cz457 MTR with a Lija barrel at 50-100 yards. A friend who very knowledgeable keeps telling me that Mrad isn't as good/accurate as MOA at those distances. I'm upgrading my Mrad scope but he tells me that I should get a MOA scope this time. Thank you for any replies.
@PursuitofAccuracy2 жыл бұрын
Its just a preference. A typical moa scope is 1/4 clicks so its roughly quarter inch per click at 100. Mrad is 3.6" for 1 mrad at 100. So .36" per click. Not much of a difference

Have you had a chance to shoot the CZ long range precision? I know the big difference is the stock, and the CZ 25 moa rail system. I would like to hear your opinion.

@@PursuitofAccuracy copy that I stuck with it because I believe the barrel is press in or is threaded. In my old school thoughts should be more precise not sure if that logic stands. But shoots sub 1" groups at 100 with a 4x12 scope vortex and taken squirrels out to 70yds. Would love to see a channel do an in depth review of the 452 to see how the tech has changed.

With my CZ 457 Varmint model, 50 yards is too easy and boring. I take it out to 100 yards outdoors in windy conditions, that is a real challenge to get 1.5 inch groups.
