Every once in awhile you come across a video that makes a seemingly difficult gunsmithing task shockingly easy. This is one of those videos. Thank you, abyss1232! I went from “I’m going to have to take this to a gunsmith” to “I DID IT!” in about 30 minutes, thanks to you.

Last weekend I used my CZ 75 TS in an IPSC match and ran into the issue of activating slightly the right safety on moveing between targets (finger long). When I then put the gun back on target and pulled the trigger there was no booom. It stunned me and the RO behind me said "safety", having seen what had happened, and from then on it went better. Still, I did engage the safety twice on moving between targets, but then I knew what was the culprit. Back at home I looked through my CZ parts and found a flat CZ Shadow 2 factory safety - and installed the right side of it on the CZ 75 TS. Saved me from buying a Shadow 2 extended safety ;-)

I have/had the same issue on the right side safety. I too have installed a flat safety and problem solved. Unfortunately I had to buy the set and they aren't cheap. But it fixed my problem.

Hi Abyss! I just bought a CZ TS used and have in the mail the new TSO magwell as well TSO grip panels. All fine all dandy and I remembered your video how to take down the TS. Aaand what I noticed was: you dont need to "ruin" this main hammer spring plug, no filing or dremling or replace is neccessary. This little metal plug sticking out is actually a headless screw being screwed into the body of the plug! Take a plier and unscrew it from the body, and voila - there is the plug body, and a 5mm screw :-) Regards Philipp

Really!?!? Damn I dremeled it right off! Haha. That's pretty interesting. Wish I had another one just to do it. I'll be damned. Gotta love it!!!! Sharing knowledge. Thanks.

Ending up going through my parts bin just to find one and there it was just screwed right off!!!!! Like you said Voila!! Freaking best tip no one has ever mentioned. Very cool! Thanks again!

Another very comprehensive DIY video mate! Thumbs up Thats exactly how I fitted my magwell .To bad I wasn't filming when doing so :-( I wanted to use the same rubber grips (actually the ones that where on my SP-01 Shadow) but in the end I opted to put my Shadow back to stock for production shooting and get some new short TS flat alu grips for the TS. Nice video. Only thing I don't like about the TS are the magazine bottoms...They use up real quick when dropped regularly during matches so I order a couple of spares as well as the alu versions.Best Regards .J

Very helpful. Thnx. I have a Jericho and the lanyard pin was driving me crazy. Your video helped

Glad it helped. I've always wanted a Jericho. Made by a great company with CZ design and engineering. Plus they are just so damn aesthetic.

Hello - thank you for showing how to change these. I actually got a TSO but I plan to replace the alu grips with the 0815 rubber grips (the ones from the stock CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow). I know I will have to cut them though, but I prefer the rubber ones - also they add a bit more volume to the grip versus the flat alu ones.
@abyss12327 жыл бұрын
Philipp Ott Glad it helped. Surprisingly, the rubber grips, even with the added width, provide much more support than the aluminum ones for me also.

You would think for a competition gun that CZ would have a good quality magwell as stock instead of a piece of plastic. Who knows what there rationale is. Another informative video. Keep'em coming.
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
Never really bothered me until I put the new one on, then realized what a crappy piece the old one was! Haha. Big improvement visually and hard to miss on the reload!

Well... it is a entry level competition gun. They have to cut some corners.

Is there an added benefit from changing out the stock trigger to the aluminum trigger?
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
Really personal preference Overall feel is better. No flex. Doesn't have taper on bottom. Looks cool, imo. Wouldn't go back that's for sure and happy that I did it!

Can you use the cz75 ts factory funnel on cz75 sp01 shadow?
@michaelcamuso54618 жыл бұрын
So I just watched all your videos on the Cz 75 ts.. Enjoyed them all great info. Looks like this is your latest rendition of your CZ 75 TS did your internal polishing reduce the trigger weight at all? did you have any negative results from polishing? and how do you like your two springs that you replaced? any failure to fire from the light spring? Or the slide slamming back from the 10lbs recoil spring? Do you feel all the aftermarket parts you purchased were a good purchase did you have noticeable performance increase anything you felt was a waste?
@abyss12328 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and the questions. Polishing I performed was minimal and from what I can tell, effects were also minimal. I will say that from the factory, the trigger pull weight was around 2 lbs and now it sits right around 1 1/4 lbs. And with the flat trigger it's a very crisp light trigger with little movement. Love the flat trigger feel also. The upgraded sights were an absolute MUST, imo, but also depends on your intended purpose. Also a must was finding GRIPS. Need grip if you are not going to do a frame reduction. Magwell is not necessary; I never had a hard time reloading, but makes it look a lot better over factory. Springs are perfect and no adverse affects after quite a bit of shooting. Recoil spring allows me to hold flat and shoot faster. Hammer spring working great. Not one problem. I do have the extended firing pin and reduced power firing pin spring so they all seem to work together. My latest additions include an extended LHS safety and a thumb rest/gas pedal. And went back to the flat aluminum grips (for now) Will post videos soon. Nothing about what I have installed or modified seems like a waste and I would do it all over again. Still deciding which grips I like better though. Hope I answered your questions. Thanks again.

At 10:00 it shows the poor alignment between the magwell opening and the sides/rear of the frame (looks just like mine, not good for reloads). Anybody have a picture after blending the sides/rear of the frame to work with the magwell?
@abyss12328 жыл бұрын
J Jones Some small metal work on the frame can better blend the two parts for sure!!! Still a nice addition.
@InkwellFoto6 жыл бұрын
abyss1232 did you ever blend it or have a reference video of one blended? My TSO looks like this and I want to blend it. My first attempt at doing this. Do I strip the gun down entirely because of the shaving material? Do I use a dremel tool or hand tools? Finishing off with sandpaper or that's too fine for metal?
@zeta4516 жыл бұрын
could one simply drill a hole in the magwell to match up with the pin on the stock main spring plug?
@abyss12326 жыл бұрын
Yes. You can do that as well. Shaving down the "nub" might be a lot easier though.

I would love a set of rubber grips for mine, but I'm not too handy and feel like I would ruin them. Any tips?
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
If dremeling as I did, Go slow!!! Use a lower speed, if possible, highest I went was 15000 rpm. I made a line for rough cut. The rubber flies off, but there are metal inserts so keep your hand steady. Otherwise, a circular table saw would be ideal. One cut (maybe a few) and done! Replacement rubber grips are cheap anyway in case you mess them up. Good luck.
@michaeldupuis66049 жыл бұрын
What rubber grips did you use ? Will the SP01 grips work? I just picked up the magwell but they are sold out of the czechmate alu grips.
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
The ones I have installed are the ones from the SP 01!!! You have to cut them to fit though!
@jeremydavis59949 жыл бұрын
Would this be a good addition to a sp01 standard?
@abyss12329 жыл бұрын
It would be great, however, this magwell doesn't fit SP01 standard. If you viewed my other my other videos, CZ custom does offer a magwell to fit SP 01 and so does CZ in Europe (not in USA).

+abyss1232 awesome!! By the way great video's on the CGW upgrades, i did a few with your help... I'm pretty gunsmith savvy but cz puts a lot of complications in there... Just don't know if it would make a great tactical upgrade for a carry weapon🤔
