Couldn't see a thing. If your fingers weren't in the way, the gun itself was out of frame.

I have a 99041 and would like a little longer magazine release. I would prefer the non paddle version. My question is, does anybody know for sure if my steel frame has the same p01 mag release or the sp01 shadow release? I have heard that some of the steel frame p01s have the longer version. Does anyone know the length of the sp01 shadow mag release so i can check with what i have? Thanks for the great video. I love the tip about not removing the spring all the way.

Excellent!! Thank you. I was very nervous to force past where the screw head made contact with the trigger bar, but it just has to scrape past the very 1st time you remove it.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS AEE COMPLETELY WRONG. HERE'S WHAT YOU PROABLY WANT TO DO: Installation tips: * I had to file a bunch off the bottom. Don't worry about the sides, just file the flat bottom away. Keep checking for fit -- when it can be fully inserted with substantial finger pressure, you're done. DON'T HAMMER IT IN WITH A DRIFT OR PUNCH, THE SLIDE IS MADE OF ALUMINUM. * Loctite the set screws once you're happy with the position. One screw at a time. :-) Consider using Loctite on some of the tightly mating surfaces of the sight itself if you have a problem with it coming loose. * To swap out the different light pipes (including the white one which is actually just plastic not fiber optic), use the included pusher tool to slide them to the REAR of the gun, not the front as the incorrect instructions on packaging indicate. Additionally; Love the red light pipe. It's more red orange in natural sunlight; the green on is unimpressive. The dovetail in the slide is symmetrical left and right; not the standard right side accessed steel dovetail.

just got a shadow 2 compact and it looks like the trigger bar is bigger than your 75. Can u take out the spring holding the release without removing the screw? Ive got it unscrewed as much as possible and its touching the surface of the trigger bar, i am unable to remove the screw without removing the trigger pin first so my question is can this be done without removing the trigger bar?

I just finished the pro package on my P01 everything worked out great and it came with everything you need. The parts fit like gloves the service was so good and what a difference in trigger. I would give them a 10 out of 10 great company

Nice for standard .380 ACP loads too. You can charge north of 2,000 rounds of range ammo with one of those 1 lb cans.

Thank you for this tutorial! I had to re-assemble my sear cage TWICE because my L-Spring Lifter Spring somehow broke after getting it all back together. I thought it flew out somewhere but I found little pieces of it laying around. I have no Idea how that happened, and man am I glad they include a spare in the kit.

Assuming I were installing the Shadow 2 magazine release on a PCR, once the whole gun is back together including the decocker lever and the slide stop, does the Shadow 2 magazine release extend out farther than the slide stop or decocker lever? I ask because I shoot my PCR in IDPA in the CCP division, and there are gun width specifications that I have to meet. If the Shadow 2 magazine release extends further out than the decocker lever, or the slide stop, it won't pass an equipment check. Thanks very much.

No. Too bad Gunsmiths don’t make videos. Too many shade tree tinkerers rounding off flat surfaces, and over polishing surfaces, and totally missing the spots that give you a crisp and clean break. This is not a good video. The results will be marginal. This is usually a $160+ charge with a reputable Gunsmith.

Had sear cage perfectly but when I installed and hit the dekocker the sear cage spring fell lower on the back end on the sear cage. It’s still in the long groove and wall of the sear it just doesn’t spring the sear down to catch the hammer. All seems well accept that sear spring being to low on the sear face. Does anyone know how or what happened?

Every once in awhile you come across a video that makes a seemingly difficult gunsmithing task shockingly easy. This is one of those videos. Thank you, abyss1232! I went from “I’m going to have to take this to a gunsmith” to “I DID IT!” in about 30 minutes, thanks to you.

Do you use an actual polish compound or just sandpaper? Also, I'm upgrading my stock P-01 and have only bought the race hammer to install. Mainly just for the looks. Do you think it's ok to do this with all other parts being stock? Great video btw! Subbed!

I love the trigger on my base model TS2, and I scored a used Czechmate last weekend. I'm definitely on the CZ bandwagon! I'm curious if the Shadow 2 single action trigger is similar to the Tactical Sports trigger.
@abyss1232
@abyss1232 Жыл бұрын
Those are different triggers. The Shadow 2 single action (blue) trigger is what they call a curved target trigger which has an overall swoop to it which is different from the TS/TSO/TS2 versions which it flat and curve up at the end.

I just got a used Czechmate this past weekend! It was made in 2020 and looks like it's in awesome condition; the only part it's missing is one of the 20 round mags. The last gun I bought was almost a year ago, and it's my TS2, so I already have the three mags that came with that. I only have three CZ's, but I think it's a nice trio, with my Shadow 2, TS2, and Czechmate. Once you go Czech, you never go back.
@abyss1232
@abyss1232 Жыл бұрын
Uhm heck that that's a great trio!!! Congrats. So difficult to shoot other guns. I've switched to mostly all CZ.
