CZ P-01 - Friendly Recommendation

I took my friends recommendations on this pistol and I was actually very pleased with it! One of the few pistols I would consider a nice do it all pistol if I only had one.

I'm a dyed in the wool Beretta fan and have a half dozen full sized 92 models alone, but I chose a p01 as my discreet carry over a 92compact. My wife even got one too!

I completely agree about the stock rubber grips. With dry calloused hands, they give me better grip than any stipple job. Also, I like that the trigger gets better and better with use.

CZ bought Colt. P01 is an excellent edc. I carried it for a long time and now carry the Shadow 2 Compact. CZ = quality, even their P10 line is great.

Glad you like your P01! I have a P01 Omega and it has LOK Crosscut grips and TruGlo TFX Pro nightsights. It's a great gun and it just runs. Now, if I could only find a P06.... Enjoy the P01!

Mec Gar makes the OEM mages, so you're really just losing the CZ stamp on the factory mags.

Great handgun! I 100% agree on the low recoil. You can clean up the trigger with some CGW parts, but the stock one is definitely serviceable. Definitely a solid do-it-all gun.

For carry P01 and for Competition SP01, it is the best pistol, then buy the lokgrips and it will be looking great, I have them, love it

Fantastic pistol. Try those LOK grips. The closest style is the “fully checked palm swell”. I tried two other patterns but the fully checked is the closest to the rubber grips. Best of luck.

I love the chamfer for your trigger finger just. They didn't have to carve that out for us but they did. And it's a super comfy shelf to rest your trigger finger.

Great video Brother..I have the CZ-P-01..remove the polymer guide rod, replace with a metal rod from Cajun gun works.. Guaranteed to shoot flatter 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

mine is guccied to the max...dpm recoil spring, cajun gun works pro package, trl7a, ported barrel, carbide grips, with 2 tone burnt bronze slide black frame...its a sweeeeeet shooter

Does the DPM recoil spring make a big difference?

@@KonaLife to me yes. to new shooters they wont know what therye feeling. to me its a smooth and predictable recoil impulse which translates to faster follow ups and more consistent pattern. upside is you cant limp wrist anything with this system. if you have plastic fantastic id highly recommend it, cant go wrong just fyi its like $80~150 investment depending on gun and where you get it from.

you are right in that they are hard to find, that's still the case. it does seem like they come in in batches, and they a bunch of places have them, then three weeks later they are out again

As you know this pistol is my overall blanket recommendation for anyone needing a do it all handgun and I think for very good reason, I'm going to have to check my import marks on mine when I get home, I might have one stamped with each mark

So the total trigger pull weight is lighter at half cock then with the hammer down? How is that possible when the hammer spring is compressed the same just before the hammer falls? It isnt lighter, just a shorter pull.

The SKU number just tells you the exact model you are ordering, useful to know for small details that might matter to you

Its not a normal thing I do unless theres something special or unique about a weapon There are plenty of other videos that will feature a takedown of this pistol, I dont feel I add much by having my own

How is the trigger reach? I have small hands, would it be difficult for me to reach the trigger in double action?

for the double action pull you'll have a bit of trouble. that being said, i'd find a range that has one for rent to get an honest opinion on it.

You can get the older style trigger from Cajun Gun Works that is less curved and easier to reach. They also have a reach reduction kit that reduces the trigger reach by 5mm.
