@Brad-cs9jy you plan on swapping a striker in the field?
@bierlyynn

@Brad-cs9jy I get your rationale, I do like how easy it is to disassemble my Glock too. I'd still take my P-07 to war over any other handgun I've ever shot. Quality is more important to me than something like that, not to say that my Glock isn't quality but it's had numerous malfunctions compared to the 0 in 5k+ rounds that my P-07 has gone through.

This is exactly why you should be highly skeptical of anyone that says they're experienced with working on pistols when nearly everything they've done was with Glocks. If you don't know what I'm talking about, watch this video and then watch one of a complete takedown of any Glock pistol. Those guns have about 1/3 of the parts and pretty much any half-wit can take them down. 😆 Great video. I downloaded it and subbed for reference. Thank you for the information.

Great video. I used it to help me install an ejector into my P07 that I purchased from CGW. The P07 had a trigger job done by CGW, and they neglected (forgot) to re-install the ejector. They were a pain to deal with and I had the impression they didn't believe me. Rather than deal with them and shipping it back and forth, it was easier to just say "to hell with them" and do it myself. Oddly enough, when I do a trigger job on any firearm, I always live fire to test it before I declare it complete. Horrible experience with Cajun Gun Works.

Thanks much for the video; very helpful. The trigger on my P07 was not resetting but only when in double action . Thinking it might be the trigger reset spring so I installed the CGW complete spring kit. This did not help and it will still not completely reset . The double action reset is literally a few millimeters from finalizing. If I pull the trigger back and let it loose the additional momentum resets it. Called CGW and they suggested polishing the dis-connector. The trigger resets in double action normally without the slide on. Any thoughts you might have would be appreciated. Thanks again for all of your videos.

Thanks for taking the time to make such a complete video. Question: I had my LGS giunsmith install a CGW pro-kit for me and noticed a couple of things. One, when I depress my decocker there appears to be a very slight gap between the inner face of the decocker and the outside face of the frame - just noticeable on my thumb when I decock the hammer. The second thing is that the lifter can be easily wiggled; I would have thought it would be fairly tight. I took it out for the first time since the CGW kit installation and no issues - it's just the two things that bug me that I've mentioned. Are these two things that I mentioned normal (and I just never noticed) or does sound like I need to have a tweak to the CGS installation? Thanks in advance for the response.

I recently purchased one of these firearms and cant get the main spring pin out from the grip for my life. Already banged the pin to hell and tried applying pressure on the spring plug. Any suggestions?
@philippott2784
@philippott2784 4 жыл бұрын
Dont cock the hammer as this will compress the spring and make it harder. Usually you just need to push in the plug half a millimeter (on other CZs) to relieve the pressure on the pin and then you can push it out sideways with a tool easily. It really goes without much force or hammering the pin! Only thing that comes to my mind is the plug could slightly be turned and not just put vertical pressure on the pin, but also sideways. Maybe a drop of some creeping oil on both sides of the pin will help to lighten it...

I’d be real interested in your advice I’m lookin for a pistol to protect my family I’m split between Glock and CZ. The Glock seems it’d be much easier to maintain but the Cz more accurate, ergonomic, more features. What would you recommend if it’s only one?
@TheGunBench
@TheGunBench 4 жыл бұрын
Can’t go wrong with both if you plan on doing a bunch of add ons to the gun then Glock may be the way to go. Glock has the longer track record but the p10 has been doing really well since it’s release. I prefer the m&p 2.0 compact that’s what I edc. I’d go try to shoot a few of them and see what you shoot better because both of them will give you the reliability you need. At that point it’s preference for the shooter

Very interesting. Thanks! How did you learn all of that?
@TheGunBench
@TheGunBench 4 жыл бұрын
Honestly.. just doing it. Started taking guns apart and you eventually start to learn how different components work with each other. Once you understand how inner components work it every gun gets easier and easier. Especially CZs, once you learn say the p07 well then you can do the p01, then a regular 75 decocker or omega, shadows with safeties only, they all work very similar. One good tip is taking pictures during your tear down, that’s helped me tremendously multiple times. Get the parts diagrams for each gun online and keep a binder or a file of them. That helps a lot too.
