Being carrying it for more than a year now. Shot more than 2 thousand rounds throught it and I can testify to the follow: 1. TRS broke at around 600 rnds. Bad batch probably. Switched it for a CZCustoms oem one and so far so good. 2. Doesn't like being dry-fired and you will chew out the firing-pin's retaining pin by doing so without snap caps or o-rings. This happened to me and I didn't become aware of it until I went to the range, while carrying it in non-operational state for weeks prior. 3. Everything smooths out gradually the more you shoot it, specially the grity double-action pull. It's butter now. 4. Only malfunctions have been 2 ftf's where it wouldn't completly go into batery. That happened at the end of a 2-day defense course, some 400 rounds after cleaning and oiling. Other than that, it just runs.

@@theworldisnotenough yeah sure buddy, I appreciate it when others take the time too. I'm no expert and there's a couple of videos about AIWB carrying for big guy, but from what I've seen, there's sort of a fatness "bad sweet-spot" in regard to appendix carrying. It works really well for skinny guys and really fat guys can also conceal it well, but when all you have is a belly, without a big gut you can trow over the grip, which is how really big guys conceal AIWB, you could print the grip. It all starts with the correct holster. Lucky Gunner has a video with good examples. Then you should try a couple before making a decision. Good luck!

AsianKylie : if you haven't shot a CZ you're missing the boat. Let's be honest there really isn't that much difference between most striker fired handguns these days it is mostly the shooters preferences to trigger pull type of sights ergos ect. all major brands operate mostly equally well. but once in awhile there is something that stands out and the CZ line is one of these the P07 or the P01 are just a head of the curve also you should take a look at the Magnum Research MR 9 if you can find one they are a truly double action two stage trigger they are basicly a ca copy of the Walther p99.

I love CZ slide and construction. They make the best pistols in the world and I’m an HK fanboy. The slide design with the internal rails is slick. The CZ75 and P-07 are my favorites DA/SA’s. My favorite striker is still the HK VP9 however, I hate the idea of holstering a striker pistol with a round in the chamber. I need a hammer to place my thumb against in case something catches the trigger. I’ve seen so many NDs from people casually reholsteting their Glocks. Maybe they aren’t using holster idk but it’s enough for me to prefer a hammer fired CCW.

I could see the P-07 being added to my collection one day. Onr thing I find interesting is how the CZ P-07/P-09 is really catching on. I owned an FNP40 USG back around 2007. Then later got an FNX40. Those are great polymere DA/SA or SAO guns and they seemed to never catch on like the CZ.

Oh, BTW, regarding ambi carry. A mag release button on the "outside" when carrying, can be pressed by chair arms when sitting or getting up. This can cause you mag to release. This has happened to me with an XD-40. I am a lefty. I swapped the mag release on my CZ P-07. This has not caused me to be unable to shoot my many other guns.
@asianky1e307 жыл бұрын
Shooting Left on the outside as in on the left side of the pistol therefore being on the physical outside of carrying left handed? Trying to understand. If that is the case it makes sense. I believe I am being misunderstood, I'm down for the swapable mag release but not a fan of true ambi. I have found more shooters hitting the mag release with their support hand thus dropping the mag. I still stand firm though that I know more lefties who prefer to still leave their mag release as-is when it comes from The factory though.

The P-07 is a great gun. It shoots great, very accurate, feels great in the hand. When I bought it, I thought I was going to CCW it all seasons, but I found out(for me personally), its to big, its heavy, fully loaded. For winter concealed carry, Im totally for it, but I just cant conceal it under a t-shirt in the late spring, summer, unlike my S&W Shields(40,45) or my S&W Bodyguard 380, which I carry all the time in th spring and summer. Fits great under a T. I love the P-07, and will not get rid of it, its such a great shooting gun, but its limited(for me) in how and when I can carry it. For OWB, its great anytime, for CCW in the winter, its great, but not so great for me in the late spring and summer. But, I do love the P-07, always will.

Awsome vid detailing the benefits of double action pistols. However, I have to respectfully disagree with the notion that double action pistols are for more experienced shooters. I cite the fact that many LEO and military agency have moved away from double action pistols and opted to utilize striker fire ones(glock 17,19,22,21). So I was curious as to what type of evidence you may be bevy to, that supports your comment. Or am I just over thinking this and you just miss spoke?
@asianky1e307 жыл бұрын
Haha thank you for using your word to express yourself! A refreshing breath in the troll style comments! What I meant by it is more that as we go through our journey we all arrive at the striker fired amazingness. But for some we get over the hype and greatly enjoy the da/sa triggers. It is my preferred carry style and I spend lots of Time practicing my da first shot and sa second. Lots of fun actually!

I agree indeed. I had exposure to the M9 while on active duty and it gave me a bad taste of DA/SA because the ones I used were wore out and I never got enough time on one to get the DA/SA down. So, ended up buy for my forst handgun, a Glock 22 Gen3. I stuck with striker guns for many years and actually just got back into DA/SA and realized how much I like them.
@tacklengrapple68917 жыл бұрын
Ya Ya The fact that most police agencies and many militaries have moved to striker fired guns IS evidence in a way that DA/SA pistols are for more experienced shooters. Most police officers only shoot a 100rd qualifier with their weapon once or twice a year. That's it... Cops are not, across the board, 'experienced shooters'. Many LEO in larger cities, especially in blue states, aren't even gun enthusiasts. The military is even worse in terms of training because the pistols is of so little real use to soldiers whose primary weapon is always a rifle or crew served weapon. Striker fired is perfect for training masses of relatively inexperienced shooters to a relatively low level of basic competence, while also being relatively simpler to service and maintain.

J Reed hey there! You are correct on the half cocked hammer. However, it really does not effect the trigger pull hardly at all. It is still a super heavy DA pull just has a smidgen less DA-ness to it. The perceivable difference is negligible. Does that answer your question?

I've been eyeing a Beretta PX4 STORM COMPACT CARRY and toying between this P-07 too since I love my P-01 so much. What would YOU do? Any recommendations? Stick with a brand in loving and save a few bucks, or dabble in a new brand to expand my horizons but pay probably $300 more? I should mention that out of my 12 pistols, the P-01 is my new favorite so CZs are pretty awesome indeed. Problem is I want them all. Thanks again and great video.
@asianky1e307 жыл бұрын
Joe Traina that's a tough one. For me it was the PX4 compact or this one here. I went with CZ because I knew I'd kick myself if I didn't get one soon. I love this pistol and they all feel, shoot, and behave differently (unlike Glocks in my opinion). I know the P07 is a lighter recoiling gun than the p01 though so it's a tough choice al the same. So since you like your p01 you'd love the P07. Have you handed a PX4 before? I say go with whatever is a) in stock that day, b) whatever comes to you faster if ordering is needed. Both are great gems! Hope this was mildly helpful!
@joetraina68447 жыл бұрын
AsianKy1e Thank you very much. Both would be ordered for me from an awesome online FFL, so the timing would be the same. I know the Compact Carry of the PX4 has some very nice upgrades, but it's hard to ignore a great gun that is already great and significantly cheaper. Truth is I shouldn't get either as I clearly have a pistol buying problem, call it a mid life crisis, but boy both of them seem great. No, I have not handled a Storm. Where I live in New York we are limited in stock because my state is kinda communist, lol. Thank you again.

Man should I get this, the h&k p30 or G19c (I would be trading my S&W m&p .45 with tritium night sights and a extra apex trigger I could install)??? I need help cause the options are too tough
@asianky1e306 жыл бұрын
Sean Solo in all honestly I would go CZ. Not just because of the bias but mainly because they are difficult to come by. Especially since the p07 is gaining traction. In addition you’ll likely find you shoot this better than the 19 and it is cheaper than any HK!
@drshred55066 жыл бұрын
Well the other part is that I’m not paying for any. I have some buddies wanting to trade. Right now, I have a M&P .45 full size with 3 backstraps, tritium night sights, 2 mags, and an extra apex trigger that can be installed all in its case. Super clean and I can either trade it for the Glock 19X NIB, the CZ P07 gen 2 LNIB and the H&K P30 with only about 500 rounds put through her. When it comes to the point of, if I ever got rid of it in the future to buy something different I sought out for.
@ItsBangBillion6 жыл бұрын
Sean Solo I don’t really know why it swapped accounts like that lol. But yeah ^^^ that’s the main dilemma I am having.
@asianky1e306 жыл бұрын
Sean Solo now that is a tough one. Are you using it for carry? If IWB the p30 is big. Like g17 big. So if cut it immediately. It at this point comes down to the action style. I will say that I’ve converted 5 people to DA/SA over striker guns because striker guns are over rated IMO. Even my buddy who is a private security contractor now carries a P09 instead of his G17.
@ItsBangBillion6 жыл бұрын
AsianKy1e not using it for carry, just for defense, reliability and fun at the range. I want something fun to shoot, that’s accurate, feels good in your hands, can take a beating and that can eat anything you put through it. As for action, it doesn’t really matter to me, I don’t see one superior to other unless it’s under a giving circumstance. Like many others have stated, “in a life or death situation, with all of that adrenaline, a double action pull even if 12+ lbs would feel super light in heated moment” that being said. I like both, sure the continual firing of a Striker action is fun but not really practical unless against multiple combatants but even then, I am confident the DA SA handguns can do it even better, with Better timing and accuracy. I do like the CZ, the decocker/ safety preference is really consumer considerate and that alone shows a lot with QC and customer service in my eyes. I’ve heard mixed reviews on H&K customer service, some good and some only bad because of parts being sold out and Germany’s communication to HK US is behind. I’m not too sure on any of that but I’ve also heard something about the feeding with the P30 on non nato ammo has had some problems. If you’ve had any experience with these 3 guns, I would appreciate any input

Jbay2608 license to buy or license to carry? I occasionally get viewers from around the world, sorry!
@Jbay26087 жыл бұрын
No worries. I'm in South Africa. Our license to own a gun is also a license to concealed carry, there's no separate thing we have to do. On the one hand that's nice, on the other hand we first have to get a competency certificate for the type of weapon, pistol, rifle, shotgun etc. This involves training at a training institute, then interviews with the police as well as the police contacting character references that you give them. Once you get your competency certificate issued, you can apply for a license for the gun you want to buy, that is its own process. The whole thing can be 9 months or more if its the first time because you need the certificate first, that's the boat I'm currently in.

Should be coming in the next week or two hopefully! I just want to give it some good time through several road trips to speak to comfort and such. My advice on this gun, if you see it snag it! My LGS had to order mine in for me. At the time of order they had 19/23 still available. When i picked it up a week later the guys at the shop said their distributor sold the rest by the end of the day! All 23 units gone in less than 24 hours. Dang good pistol!
@biggboysouth7 жыл бұрын
I the P-09 is my first DA/SA gun and I think I can say that I actually prefer it over striker fired. After breaking it in with probably a little over 500 rounds the double action is surprisingly smooth and easy to pull fast and hit where you're aiming at. I'd recommend if you have the extra $30 or $50 to go ahead and buy the Urban Gray tactical P-07 model. It looks awesome and gives you a gun that has all the upgrades you could want in the future for suppressor use right out of the box. It's also far cheaper than if you bought the reg model and upgraded it yourself.
@asianky1e307 жыл бұрын
biggboysouth couldn't agree more! I was just impatient and didn't want to wait for the UG model haha

That's alright, the Standard model is an awesome gun regardless. And for CCW it may even be the better choice, I'd still try to CCW the UG model lol. Although I'd make sure to get the standard P07 magazine baseplates
@Rhetorical3467 жыл бұрын
On my scale with 16 rounds of ammo and a magazine (notice the glock site lists the weight without a magazine because they tend to lie a lot in their specs) the guns are less than 3 oz apart. Since the loaded weight for both guns is about 30 oz, this puts them less than 10% apart in weight. Not really noticeable.

The only downside to the gun is the heavy DA Trigger pull out of the box. (about 10-12 pounds) Which I don't mind because the gun doesn't have a safety. And the fact that Mags for the gun are $50 a piece. I just bought a P01. I was thinking about selling the P07 but I love the way the gun shoots. So I'll probably keep them both. I'm also looking for a Rami Bd or Rami in 9mm.
@asianky1e307 жыл бұрын
socc69 I had the opportunity to snag a used Rami out here but it wasn't the BD so I passed. But I agree, that DA pull is super heave out of box. It does clean up some but still not as smooth as a PX4 and definitely not as smooth as the alloy versions of the CZ and Sigs. All in all, I think I'll keep it still ;)

A.C. Slater I think it's a great gun IF you have familiarity with the double/single action battery of arms. These are great to work on the fundamentals as the single action trigger eliminates a ton of user error. However with that said there are lots of great videos out there on how to run DA/SA guns. All in all, I would recommend it to a first time buyer as a first gun. Maybe just not as a first time buyers first gun overall PLUS carry gun. Does that make sense?

Aaron Price I may carry it on breast cancer awareness day. While I understand the lefty thing my wife has denied every advance to swap anything to the correct side for her. She isn't the only one either haha. Thus ambi is nice but not everything. I greatly wish you luck on The p10c! I really just want to handle one right now.
@APGT907 жыл бұрын
AsianKy1e Yeah I understand where she's coming from, but I've shot all righty firearms for years (which really isn't whole lotta fun with old black powder muskets), and now seeing ambi controls it's just tempting to grab that "luxury" while manufacturers are still doing it. As for the P10c, yeah I've yet to see them in stock anywhere, even online. Guess it's either the P07, 75 compact, or just waiting probably at least a year for the P10. Ergos I think the 75 compact wins, price the p07 wins, and well as I've said the p10 I can't even find yet lol. So as of now I'm not entirely sure which way to go, it'll probably end up with whichever one my go-to dealer has when I go to buy it lol.
@asianky1e307 жыл бұрын
Aaron Price my oh my. The decision! What's your current carry piece now?
@APGT907 жыл бұрын
AsianKy1e Uh well, a Gerber pocket knife haha. I'm not actually old enough yet to get a carry permit in my state yet (Ohio) so yeah. But, as far as shooting pistols, I've shot a G23 and a SW Model 39-2 the most, and I don't really care for the Glock. The SW basically feels like a 1911 in the hand, minus the beaver tail safety, which I like a little better, but still not my favorite. I've held several CZs in gun shops, and they fit like a glove in the hand so that's what originally drew me towards them, not to mention the reliability and the low bore axis in comparison to something like a P226.
@asianky1e307 жыл бұрын
Aaron Price agreed man! The CZ has always had that perfect fit, a home away from home, feel to me too. Full ambi guns are tough to find but least they are starting to come around. @nrd5155 жыл бұрын
The grip is overdone, if anything. I wish the sides were a little smoother, but I've never understood the whole "grip thing" anyway, I greatly prefer old "slippery" guns and have never dropped one, no matter how sweaty my hands were.. Another thing I don't understand is having a problem learning DA/SA shooting. Or how a few ounces carry weight would bother anyone. I carried an all steel gun for years and once in a while carried a polymer gun and it made no difference. If you haven't figured it out, I prefer all steel DA/SA hammer guns over anything else, but the P07 is a great gun.

@@asianky1e30 I appreciate your quick response, im struggling with finding the right gun to appendix carry with. Im trying to figure out the safest way to carry appendix by having a gun that the firing pin is not fully charged or under full tension when the gun is racked and one on the pipe, like for example a glock when racked the pin is half charged and when you start to pull the trigger thats when the firing pin spring reaches its full tension before releasing, i have a couple of shields 9 and 45 but those firing pins seem to be fully charged or tensioned all the way, i have a internally hammer fired sccy 9mm but i dont know about that... what do you think about all this i just shared with you?? mind you that i carried 6 years appendix without a problem but a recent health issue has put me on blood thinners so im just going an extra step to ensure there is no way for an nd because i would have a less chance of survival than the average person, not that the chances are good if you hit a main artery..

@@jackacosta1313 I think you're spot on with your concerns about appendix carry sir. I started with a G19 and it was great, but the "what if?" factor was just too large. I grew up shooting DA/SA guns and the learning curve is not bad to learn if you're not used to it. But that is my problem with most striker guns is the seer is 50%-90% there and if something happens, then BANG! Generally my striker carry is an XD since it has the grip safety. We've tried to bypass it on the range by squeezing the crap out of the trigger, but when you break the gun down, it is a physical blocker that prevents the trigger from traveling period. You simply cannot generate enough force on the trigger alone to break that grip safety stop. I say try out the CZ! They are great guns and an absolute joy to shoot. Plus if you dont like it, they do sell on the secondary market (if applicable in your state) since there is a huge fan base out there!
