CZ knocked it out of the park with this one. Greatly improved over the p01 and the fs Shadow 2. My current edc all day every day. FS Shadow 2 safety will work on the compact.

Funny, I just came from sportsman's warehouse in Seminole, I live in Oldsmar, where I picked up cz shadow 2 comp. I ordered online and got shipped to store. It is asme old case for all CZ guns, but gun looks great and feels great in hand, hopefully will take to the range this weekend down at Florida Firearms Academy on Hillsborough ave.

I just got my S2C last week! Glad to learn about a local custom shop in the Tampa area. I checked your site and didn’t see anything specific to the S2C. If you guys offer up any work for the S2C, you should put it on the site. I’d be interested. I just subbed!

I have the same Lok grips you ordered. IMHO, makes this gun even better than before. Wonderful grip texturing and ergonomics. Mine is a CZ custom shop version and the trigger is amazing. DA pull is around 6 lbs and SA is little less than 3 lbs.

My stacatto came with 2 mags , my sig p320 axg pro came with 2 mags, 320 axg carry came with 2, Springfield prodigy came with 2 mags, gen 3 19 came with 2 mags, my 42,43,48 all came with 2 mags each, p365, p365xl and macro. All came with 2 mags each. The 365 fuse came with 3 mags, one flush and 2 extended mags. So the cz coming with 2 mags I’m not disappointed. Awesome shooter. One of my faves. Can’t wait to get the cz nocturne.

If you load the gun and rack a round the hammer will already be back when you press check. If you do drop the hammer and wanna verify a round is in the chamber you can manually cock the hammer then press Check so your not fighting it in double action

I love my CZ shadow 2 compact. The only issue I have is the top slide is very thin making it hark to pull it back with my hands compared to other guns. It shoots so much better tho.

Starting out on a CZ platform, Jericho 941, I instantly found the slingshot method the best way of racking the slide. Love the platform.

Love my S2C I also went with the boogie palm swell with red liners I also went with Loks mag well… love the gun it’s one of the best stock DA/SA triggers I’ve ever shot. I feel like the low profile safety is there so it doesn’t get deactivated thru out your daily activities. What’s your thoughts do you think a larger safety can get deactivated easier?

You are not supposed to carry half cocked with the safety engaged. It’s in the manual. Please tell me if I am wrong. Thanks.

The manual does suggest not engaging the safety in half cocked position because it could damage the trigger mechanism by cocking the hammer by force or pulling the trigger hard.

Big CZ and s2c fan enjoy her! Lok palmswells are the best should dial in the grip. Since you said you were a 2011 guy surprised you brought up the amount of included mags. Atlas, Fowler, Hayes (I think), and others only come with 1 mag with the pistol. Hard to rack as fighting the recoil and hammer spring together if you put her in half cock or full cock much easier to run the slide. I have Lok palmswell full checkered grips, 5 moa sro, and tlr 7 on mine enjoy the CZ greatness!

I complain with every brand about mags. Cheap way to let the consumer down in my opinion. I appreciate the feedback! Looking forward to my lok stuff!

Check out the DPMS Guide Rod and Spring Kit. Comes with 3 different weighted springs. I changed the trigger to the Eemann Tech Ultimate Brass trigger, I highly recommend checking it out. Replaced the safety detent spring to a heavier one which made the safety have a more positive engagement, keeping the slim safety selectors on it. Also, you should NOT carry it quarter cocked in DA with the safety on. You can damage internals if you try to squeeze the trigger while safety is still engaged. Refer to the manual, it points this out. It should be carried either cocked and locked in SA, or in DA with safety off (both with hammer all the way down and in the 1/4 cocked position). The gun does press check easily if it’s in SA. The slide pulls back easily and will stop right before the round wants to eject. I changed the grips out to LOK grips thin boogie grips, they are slightly thicker than the OEM ones and feel much more aggressive when shooting. Great video, interested in seeing some videos on this gun ported.

Yes Cajun! I kinda wish I had went with the LOK brass Magwell and grips, at the time I ordered I thought the Magwell took away from the palm swell too much...

Tampa peeps what’s the best range/store in the area? Shoot straight has an okay selection but would like to see more high end items like this CZ or staccatos.

Nice overview. I was not aware of your work. I am a Tampa local. Curious on couple items, where do you shoot competitions, assuming idpa or USPSA? Also, are you a stocking Staccato dealer? Thanks.

From the box to the gun. The gun shoots fine. I like the longer CZ-Shadow 2 over it versus the compact. The magazine count as you said sucks. Not coming with the optic plates really blows considering the cost. My turn-off is if you put the optic on the gun it won't fit in the case afterward. Yes, I get it I can get a different case for it but, I like stock cases. I took the optic off and just kept the plate on the gun. Honestly, I would go with hindsight being 20-20 is the CZ-75 Compact. Will run ya $600 bucks easy and I think functions better than the CZ-Shadow 2.

That’s a fair assessment! I do think those are super valid downsides given the cost. I do wish it came with an optic plate! Luckily there are a few very good affordable options! The box feels and is super cheap and flimsy. We’ve got a couple shop guns that live in an Apache case. So it works out well. Few guns live in holsters 24/7.

Polymer vs metal or aluminum is why you get less mags. But cz is a better piece. JS

What is your opinion vs the CS? Have a ported 23 CS and was thinking of buying a CZ P10C or the shadow C. What’s your recommendation

If you’ve got the money. I’d go shadow 2 compact. But the p10c is a phenomenal gun for the price to performance

I bought the cz shadow 2 compact and the staccato cs at the same time. I personally shoot the cz way better the single action out the box is ridiculous . Cz fits my hands better. Both guns are great cz has better value in my opinion

We have both. I would agree with that statement!
