Don't use aftermarket busing (including cajungunworks) in CZ Shadow 2 guns. This will create excessive wearing out of your barrel. It worn out my barrel in less then 1,000 rounds. The upgrade was done by Cajungunworks.

Interesting datapoint. I will keep this in mind. I have the CGW barrel bushing in the Shadow 2, factory barrel bushing in my P-01, similar round count in both guns. Will be interesting to see how they wear. Won't be a 1:1 comparison due to the shoter barrel length and more extreme angle of tilt when unlocked on the P-01. Might go back and look at the edges inside the CGW bushing and possibly blend it a little better.

Does your shadow 2 has a rattle on the slide and frame when you shake it?

Did screws to mount the optic to the plate come with the trijicon plate or did you use the screws that came with the holosun optic? If you did use the screws that came with the optic, did you use the shorter or longer screws or did you have to purchase some other screws yourself? Thanks in advance for answering
@EngineersArmory Жыл бұрын
Optic mounting screws did not come with the plate. The screws needed to mount the plate to the slide were included. I used the longer of the screws that come with the Holosun. They are the typical #6-32 screws used with the Trijicon RMR pattern and that is what the plate is threaded for. The cool thing about this optic mounting platform is there is a pocket in the slide under the area where the optic screws come through the plate so you dont have to trim them if they're too long. This way you can also ensure maximum thread engagement. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Does anyone carries a CZ Shadow 2 as an E.D.C.? And if so... how you like it?
@EngineersArmory Жыл бұрын
That would be a bold move as this thing weighs 46.5 oz (almost 3 pounds)! It is a heavy gun, but I am sure someone out there has done it. This gun doesn't have a firing pin safety block which would sketch me out - I wouldn't even consider carrying it due to that alone, not to mention the weight. I will be curious if anyone chimes in here saying they carry it!
@cedrickcasasola1559 Жыл бұрын
Thank you, you have helped me a bunch.
@geopietro Жыл бұрын
Why did you change from DA/SA yo SAO? What are the pro's and con's? Excellent mods. Thanks for sharing.
@EngineersArmory Жыл бұрын
Generally the conversion to SAO will produce the best single action trigger pull possible. If the gun is still DA there is a certain amount of pre-travel you cannot take out. SAO conversion reduces the amount of moving components and simplifies the trigger system - again this improves the SA trigger pull due to less components moving with respect to each other in the gun (mainly no more contact between the trigger bar and disconnector - the disconnector has been removed). The drawback is that you no longer have a DA pull. A lot of competitions mandate you start with the hammer down so DA is necessary. This is a range toy for me, I don't compete, so I don't care about having DA. I wanted the best possible trigger I could get so I converted it. For a defensive type hammer fired gun you absolutely want the DA trigger pull for carrying it safely. If this were a defensive/carry/home defense pistol for me I would not have converted it. Also I would never carry a DA/SA gun with a thumb safety - I want that decocking lever. Also I would never carry this gun as it has no firing pin safety block. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching and commenting!

The CZ TS2 has a SAO trigger. Why do you like the Shadow2 over the TS2? I'm trying to decide. I especially like your trigger job and red dot. Thanks again.
@EngineersArmory Жыл бұрын
Shadow 2 is cheaper. I prefer slide mounted optics over the mount that bolts to the side of the frame - and some of the TS2 pistols don't even have the frame drilled and tapped for the optic mount. The dust cover on the Shadow 2 has a picatinny rail - I don't run anything on it but it's nice to have the option - makes the gun more versatile. The Shadow 2 shares magazines with my CZ 75B where as the TS2 magazines are not compatible with any other CZ pistols. There is more aftermarket support for the Shadow 2 meaning more options for projects and upgrades on it (which I always consider when buying a gun as I love to tinker on them). Those are the reasons I bought it over the TS2 (which I was seriously considering). In terms of competition (I don't compete so I could be wrong), the Shadow 2 qualifies for more divisions than the TS2. The TS2 would only be an open gun I believe, where as the Shadow 2 could be in carry optics or some other divisions. I could be wrong maybe someone who competes can correct me. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Got my barrel bushing installed. But a little tight fit kinda hard to get it out gotta wiggle it. It’s your barrel little hard to get of out the slide as well?
@EngineersArmory9 ай бұрын
@@raymondshaffer9147Yep. My barrel wouldn't reinstall into the slide at first. Had to open up the bushing ID by spinning some fine grit sand paper in there. Kind of to be expected. Thats how you'll get zero play at lock up. As long as you can get the barrel in without forcing it too hard, and the barrel and slide function like they should when its all back together you should be good to go.
@raymondshaffer91479 ай бұрын
How do you removed the barrel bushing? Any tips would be greatly appreciated
@EngineersArmory9 ай бұрын
Punch the rollpin out that holds the front sight on, and the barrel bushing in. I then took a small nylon (plastic, bronze, aluminum would work too) punch and from the bottom side of the slide used the punch and a small hammer to push the barrel bushing out the front. It's tricky - the bushing barely has a lip on it that you can get with a punch. But its not pressed in very hard, its more of a tight slip fit. I put my slide upside down on a bench block and worked my way around the edge of the barrel bushing lip with the punch and hammer giving light taps, slowly driving it out the front. Hope this helps!
