Would definitely like to know how this is holding up. Looking at getting this same rifle and I don't like the black stock either.

I have an SKS with a plastic stock that I painted over twenty years ago, and it's holding up still:) First I painted it with splotches of FDE, OD green, and a darker green, then I got a plastic fern, and laid the plastic fern on the stock and shot black paint, so that the stock has these multi camo colored fern shapes on it surrounded by black between the fern shapes. Sounds weird, looks great.
