Michael Keane was a culprit in both goals. Lost his man in the first one and was caught staring at a cross that was already covered by two men instead of sticking with the forward that drifted back. It's so obvious someone was going to be in the centre to get on the end of it. Barkley was pretty slow to get back during that goal and was caught ball watching as well, though evidently tired. Two easily preventable goals that can only be construed as poor defending.

I think that's a bit over the top - any team in the world can lose a game. The French lost to Turkey without having a single shot on target. Poor performance but hardly embarrassing. The Czechs are half decent. Not a great side, but one that can cause you problems if you're not at your best - and this was the trouble, England weren't at their best. Very poor performance from England, no question. Too many players on the pitch who shouldn't be, and too many either missing through injury or hopelessly out of form. Euros is far too soon for this team as it is, but perhaps they can build something useful for the next World Cup.
