In this food vlog Valery we'll show you the best Czech street food in Prague and where you can buy it. Valery will show you some very traditional options like Chlebíčky as well as some options that Czechs got inspired by from abroad and made it part of their street food repertoire like Párek v rohlíku and Langoš.

Unfortunately, two months after we released this video, we discovered that one of the street food shops, "Dej si," which we mentioned, has closed down. It appears that finding fried cheese in a bun is becoming an increasingly difficult task each day. However, you can still enjoy this delicious treat at "Proste vokno," another place we featured in the video.

The fried cheese in a bun sounded soooo good when you bit into it. My doctor of all people recommended the hot dog in a bun with catchup to me before our trip to Prague. By the time I found them at a stand on Wenceslaus Square we had no time or was too full to indulge and enjoy. What a world, what a world!! Gotta get back to have a giant wiener in a hollowed out bun and splatted with catchup on the streets of Prague. Always nice to have obtainable goals and achievements. Thanks Valarey for this fun video, your the best of the KZbinrs!

Looks like Prague is a beautiful city. Here in Asia, the street food you showed us are considered luxuries, only the rich can afford them. Your street food looks great. They made me feel very hungry. Thanks for your video.

This is the first time in my life I watch a bunch of videos before I go visit a place. I usually like to get surprised and walk about 30-40km per capital. In "Zlatna Praga / Zlata Praha" as it is known in Bulgaria, I can't wait to get an original Bernard, which is my favourite beer, however your videos are so daily-life-realistic, I'm going to just watch them all and actually make a plan this time :D Thank you for your content! I'll share with friends.

The one you seem to have left out is, what used to be at any rate, the ubiquitous street snack. A hotdog server with a slice of rye bread and a dollop of mustard. In the late 90s when I visited Czech it was everywhere, even in the middle of nowhere by the side of a river (we were canoeing). In the mid 2000s it was still available on Wenceslas Square and on many street corners. It's still a favourite snack of my wife and I (if we can get decent hotdogs that is).

It's honestly fascinating for me, how did we actually lose our street food. I'm a child of the 90s and I remember as a child, almost every street had some sort of stand where you could buy a hot dog, langos, grilled sausage, etc, and for a very good price. Nowadays you only have McDonald's and kebabs (with the very few exceptions which you showed). Whenever I travel, I realise this more and more, because other countries still have the actual street food. What happened to ours?

The word lángos comes from the Hungarian word láng, after the original method of preparation, which was to toast the pancakes close to the flames. The main raw material used to prepare lángos was bread dough. Which is also popular in other countries that were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (Czechia, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia, even Prater in Vienna). And another typical fodd in Prague is Moriavský kolač (Moravia cake)- Traditional Czech cakes - poppy and jam

Just arrived back from Prague. Great food(except the Asian one thanks, but never again), not high prices, even in the centre of the city. And most of the time we were there, almost no other parts of Praha. The Pivo, the black one, was also great, cost me 95 krons for 400 ml. Nice one. Hope to visit your city again in the future. The people are looking somehow sad, I would say, but I've been told the locals are pretty introverts, so maybe that's the reason. Amazing place to visit, great channel.:)

Fantastic video! I recently commented on some Prague videos of travel bloggers who are showing how they eat trdelník, pizza's, McD or KFC non-Czech food. If you travel foreign places, especially to make a travel video, always try the local food, including the street food. My favorite is still párek v rohlíky, real youth sentiment, but hard to find in the Center. I mostly get it at the end of Pasáž Světozor. But chlebíček is also always good. Feel quite hungry after this video.

The chlebičeks look expensive cause of the size and if you want to really eat you will have to buy a lot. The kind of burger either. The hot dog size is perfect for this price. They should add fillings it’s very tasty. When I was young I hated all the classic fillings excepted for one sauce but now it’s different.

Once I wanted "párek v rohlíku" and they gave me that american "hot dog" thing in that disgusting american-like bread and ofcourse, I got dirty from ketchup because of it's opened with that cut, not like our style with hole inside. Párek v rohlíku is totaly superior compared to hot-dog. 😀 BTW, Langoš literally reminds me 90s and the most disgusting and cheapest places. 😀

This is one of the longest winters I remember (the worst was in 2006), it's still freezing in night in some regions here. In some other years, I was already turning A/C on in april. I have no problem with temperatures like 15°C, you can wear t-shirt combined with jacket (without sweater or hoodie under it) which is comfortable and looks cool, but the hell, this is too long winter and you still need proper combination of t-shirt, hoodie and jacket when you go to some whole day trip, which is ridiculous in half of april.

Ofcourse, why not? But you can't know what will be weather, it can be nice late summer, but it can be even 13°C and rain. You have to expect that even when it's nice late summer with 20+°C temperatures during the day, mornings and nights are already pretty cold in september.

1 The Gospel of the Kingdom of Heavens always comes from Heaven through an angel while there is another gospel that comes from the abyss through pastoral school for God fills the heart while the devil fills the head. Remember how on April 24, 1993, the sound of his voice came into me and I fell dead. You see? It’s the devil that has instituted pastoral school. For, if I send someone to call my wife who is on a journey to the village, this messenger doesn’t have to receive any instruction from anyone. I am the only one who should tell him what to say to my wife and I know that she will believe him. [Ed: The congregation says, “Amen!”]. [Kc.2v3] 2 Let Satan and his children have pastoral schools, Bible institutes and the Internet, me and my house will stay with the prophetic revelation. [Ed: The congregation says: "Amen!"]. And after pastoral school, seminaries and theological degrees, when those hypocrites, sons of the devil stand in the pulpit, they say: "O God may I decrease and you speak through me." You see? It's a confusion! If you know that you can decrease for God to speak through you, so what did you go and look for in pastoral schools?
