It’s so dumb that the Russian players have to watch from home… being banned for something totally out of their control is so stupid! But hey… at least they got to watch team rapists go home early! If there was a team / country truly deserving of being banned from these events, it’s the country that used minor hockey dues to cover up and pay off so many rape allegations, their version of a federal government had to step in! 😂 It became so commonplace for Canadian hockey players to catch rape cases, they started using little kid hockey dues throughout all of Canada to pay them off - because they wouldn’t have had enough money otherwise!!! But yeah, makes total sense that Russian players can’t play because their government and country’s military decided to go to war… like the players / team / staff had any power over their situation on the home front!!! Maybe next time they should just rape the country they want to go to war with… if Canada can rape all day and night and set a precedent where it’s apparently 100% ok with the competition committee, than I don’t see how on Earth they can continue to ban Russia from competing… all because Putin is a mad man!

It’s such bullshit that Russian players were not allowed to compete in this event! The war is totally out of the control of the Russian players and team staff… Meanwhile, Team Canada can’t seem to make it a year between rape allegations, which directly involve the team players and coaching staff! But somehow they’re still allowed to compete?!!? Shit like that makes me very happy that Czechia beat them and sent the northern rapists packing their crap early! No medal round for team Canada! Hopefully it won’t be like last year, where a bunch of Canadian players get called by police and have to stop playing hockey and get investigated for being unable to bang a chick that actually wants to bang… Whatever happened to Carter Hart, Foote, et al??? I argued with so many Canadians during the lead up to this game, and without fail not one of them showed any humility over the fact Czechia knocked their team out of the tourney last year and they all thought they had the gold medal game already in the bag just because "it's Canada and Canada IS hockey". It's a tough pill to swallow realizing that the rest of the world has caught up and that they are no longer the automatic favorites before they even step onto the ice. It's a new era... hockey has TRULY gone international and that's good thing for the growth of the sport. The same thing is happening with basketball. Basketball is no longer only America's sport because the Euros have significantly closed the gap. Canadians may see this as "bad", but this is great for hockey as a whole. Also... I read an article about this just the other day, maybe Canada should seriously look into how badly they've cut the middle class out of the sport. It's more expensive than it's ever been to play hockey in Canada so a lot of the next gen are starting to play other sports instead.
@RaineriHakkarainenАй бұрын
Hockey was International already in 1970s! 90% of hockey fans in Russia Czechoslovakia Sweden Finland and so! Hockey world championships have 10-15xtimes bigger tv ratings than Stanley Cup! Czechoslovakia beat Orr Lafleur Dionne Sittler Robinson Hull and Hall of Farmers in 1976 1-0! Czezgislovakia was the world champion already in 1972! Finland was not a power house hockey team in 1980 because we had only 21 ice rinks buildings to play hockey! Now Finland have 274 ice rinks buildings to play hockey! But we loved hockey in 1970s!

The moment I heard the first boo for Sikora, I didn't wish it on the Canadians. I'm not someone who would wish anything bad on anyone, but when I see a player go to the locker room after a foul and then come back and be able to play, I'm glad that our player didn't hurt him. A little empathy wouldn't hurt the Canadians. This is disgusting and I'm glad that the Czech Republic could celebrate in the end, even if it was nerves. Anyway, the referees sometimes blew the wrong whistles for both sides, plus we didn't give a goal in the 5-minute power play, on the contrary, we got one, so the referees definitely didn't decide this. The Czechs were better for 2 periods, they tried to defend in the third and those were the nerves. Great match!

When you have a dozen hands in the cookie jar at once it's no surprise when they all spoil. They're over-complicating what should be a very simple concept: You take the best players available. That's what the other teams are doing. Canada's C team is no longer good enough to beat the other teams' A team. We need the best players available if we want to win. This is the result of mistakes from the beginning of the team selection, to the early end of the tournament. As long as Canada is pre-occupied with keeping up appearances, they will not put the best on the ice. And the future doesn't look good. Don't blame the refs. This team was not as good as they would have you believe. The coach waited too long to do something with the forward lines - lack of scoring. Then made a challenge on a call, lost it - and got a bench minor - that took the momentum out of the team. They all got what they deserved.

Way too many role players and not enough offensively flexible talent to score and generate plays. It's very hard to excuse Cristall not being there when you consider guys like Cataford and Beaudoin were somehow taken above him. Better coaching would've helped immensely but yeah we still needed a lot of different guys on the team as well to help with scoring and balancing the lines.

US hockey is showing Canada how it is done. Assemble a team that can skate, pass and score. Have them play together throughout various tournaments. Now you have a team. In this version of Team Canada, here were the issues. - Assemble a team of players that couldn’t play together or didn’t know how to play together - Too many 17 year olds - Undisciplined players taking too many idiotic penalties - Couldn’t kill penalties - Power play was not dangerous - Couldn’t score when the opportunity presented itself - Cameron as a coach couldn’t coach them back into winning - The person that selected this team should never be near hockey Canada again

@aposthole5226Ай бұрын
@ I’m Canadian and was cheering for Canada. I was observing the tournament from a neutral standpoint and Canada stunk in every facet of the game. The only thing they were good at were shots on net, but that doesn’t win you the tournament..
@jesse1381Ай бұрын
@@Rocky-e2b Low quality shots from the outside that the opposing goalies saw all day. Guess what you don't win games based on inflated shot counts. If the puck doesn't go in the net and you don't score, you don't win. The States didn't need 50 shots to win because their shots were more accurate and lethal, from passes, rush chances, high quality shots. They hit a bunch posts as well and that game could have been 7-1 or 8-1. Nobody on this Canadian team even had more than 3 points in 5 games. Offensively they were only 2 goals better than Kazakhstan the team that got relegated.
@aposthole5226Ай бұрын
@@jesse1381 Totally agree. Their passing and shooting were inaccurate. On the goaltending side, Carter George was ok in a couple of games, but against the big boys couldn’t save Canada’s inept scoring. Canada was possibly the 7th best team in this tourney with Kazakhstan, Germany and Switzerland just below them. What an embarrassment for Canadian hockey.
@jesse1381Ай бұрын
@@aposthole5226 Yes this team was a train wreck. George would've had to be lights out spectacular to steal games for this team so you can't really fault him when this was the worst offensive squad since 1998. Dumb penalties, giveaways, missed passes, quitting on puck battles, floating around, selfish individual play. These were the main traits of this team. Cameron as well had no viable system in place for them, made no tangible adjustments even after losing to Latvia, and they didn't even bother practicing on the ice.

Is it Canada or Cownada? I can't tell the difference in that booing at a player who was targeted with an indisputable foul and dangerous play. Did you boo at him, because he had the audacity to return to the game? Stay classy, so called "hockey nation". Glad you are sad tonight.

@@CanadianBongRipper No, they booed at him because they were Canadians and that is the culture over there. What a coincidence that the target of the hit was the player who scored, right? Couldn't get over the fact that the hit didn't end his career, because that was the clear intention of the Canadian player. 5 minute major just to be unsuccessful at removing the key player from the game.
