번역되어 보실지 모르겠지만 한국 가수인 박효신은 군ㆍ병역 생활중 소중했던 친구가 하늘나라로 간 소식을 듣고 깊은 슬픔을 겪고 이곡"야생화"에 그 마음을 담았습니다. 지금도 이곡을 부르는 공연을 할때면 그슬픔에 몰입되어 눈물을 흘리곤 한답니다. 공연에대한 열정과 만족감에 눈물을 흘리는것이 아님을 알아주셨으면 합니다. 그리고 공연장에 참여한 분들 역시 그 마음이 전달되어 함께 마음의 격정을 느끼고 눈물을 흘리는 것임을 아셔야 할것입니다.. 영상 올리신 분에게 필요한 것은 아무래도 올리신분 입장에서는 외국곡 이다보니 가사전달에 부족함이 있어 곡에 대한 이해가 부족했던 것이 아닐까합니다.. 후반부에 가수의 눈물과 관객의 눈물에 대한 해설을 듣고 너무 기술적인 접근에 취우친 영상이 아니었나 싶어 적었습니다.. 영상 잘보았습니다^^

Park Hyo Shin is one of the best and most well known ballad singers in South Korea. The MV for this is very good. Brilliant songwriter. His is a very personal song. He wrote this while serving mandatory military service and after fighting with his record label who would blocked his music. Very emotional song for him.

I love this song. made me cry for days when I first encountered it years ago. Korean ballads tend to be melancholic.. it mostly about the lyrics... and the vulnerability. Korean ballads have a certain sound to them that kind of "requires" this style of singing haha :) it's what's expected - you guys are right. I think since you hear that he's such a capable singer that you start to want to expect him to go to a direction that's going to appeal to y'all? this song was most likely recommended bcoz of those pauses and the control he had even if he was really feeling very emotional already.. probably the fan that requested this wanted to see your take on a powerful singer that was willing to be so vulnerable (and brave) on stage. which y'all caught

He is one of my favorite Korean artists. You are right; at that time, he had just finished his Korean Broadway show. Actually, he is not K-pop but a Solo Korean Artist. Korea has a lot of talented vocalists/solo artists outside K-pop, for example, IU, Sohyang, Lyn, Davichi, Baek Ji Young, Urban Zakapa, 4Men… I recommend Arirang by Sohyang

Park Hyo Shin is the best vocalist in Korea and my all-time favourite vocalist, his skills is excellent and he’s always bringing perfect live performances. Lea Salonga also praised him on twitter “X”😉 When you compare to how he sang in his earlier days, his singing style is changed and keeps improving. He was more R&B style with heavy husky voices in those days.. He also plays musical theatre in Korea, it’s hard to even buy a ticket for his show. This Wild Flowers really means a lot to him as well, and I would say this song is one of the most challenging pieces to pick if you want to cover it. He sings it so easily and effortlessly, but in fact, it’s REAL difficult. Some singers also covered this song, but over these 10 years (this song was released in 2014), I still can’t find anyone sing this better than him.. The video that you picked was filmed in 2016, there are other versions later, & you can find that he improved too. He was also invited by the Korean government to perform this Wildflower in front of President Trump when he visited Korea few years ago. To me, Park Hyo Shin can do all those techniques while he showed it more obviously (a bit show-off) in his earlier dayssss, everyone who even doesn’t know singing can tell he’s fab. In recent years, he is more subtle, but if you know, you can definitely tell how much he has done, without those skills and controls, you can’t sing a song beautifully in this way. 😉😊😊 He is indeed climbing Himalayas while he’s like taking a stroll. 😊

I'm not sure if the pauses are counted or if he just needs a moment to collect himself from the overwhelming emotion.. He can't sing this song eyes open because he'll start crying too early to finnish the song. He absolutely wrote the song for his best friend whose life was cut too short.

Yes..read the room!…. Read his demeanour, perhaps listen to the song WITH the accompanying instrumentation first! …then isolate his voice to complete your reaction. I will concede that you at least realised that it was a sh***y reaction. Off the mark in so many places. The piano was an integral part of that performance. He wrote and composed that piece.…that is what he ‘s known as …a solo singer songwriter. . It’s an emotional telling of his own story and he can tell it in whatever way he sees fit. Not according to some formula set by others. Thank God there are artists like these who don’t give a flying fig about what genre they should be sticking to, etc. Not all Korean artists operate in the pop genre….nor do they always aspire to. There are those who are mind-blowingly good at it, and others who are gifted in other areas. There are countless, amazing artists in that part of the world that so many in the west are missing out on, for so many reasons….some of them ridiculous. There are so many other genres that are interesting and captivating as well and the means whereby certain artists with certain abilities can express themselves more effectively. There is a S. Korean group Forestella, not a K-pop boyband…more like multi-genre crossover idols…who paid an amazing homage to Park Hyo Shin’s Wildflower in 2020, rearranging it for 4 different voices…their live performance is in fact how I discovered Park Hyo Shin in the first place. On paper their voices probably should not sound so good across multiple genres and languages…but they are brilliant nonetheless. They refused to be categorised into any one genre because they have an eclectic taste in music and genres and so have produced amazing performances across genres since their inception in 2017. Bohemian Rhapsody introduced them to international audiences, as did Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance in 2022 , their Despacito in 2023 was a party on stage. K-pop group EXO’s Mama 2022, a sample of BTS Fake Love at MAMA 2022 leading into their own SAVE OUR LIVES 2022..complete different genre again, like UTOPIA, 2022. FInd their Time in a Bottle in 2021…see what they did to that Jim Croce song! Or Scarborough Fair, or Queen ‘s Show Must Go On (as a trio because bass singer in military til May ‘25) Legends Never die (League of Legends theme ) and Lazenca Save Us. KOOL is unabashedly K-pop after a promise they made to fans to do a Kpop cover, but released an original instead. I’ve listed rock, rockopera, folk, reggaeton, ballad, popera, and for electro pop …Inner Universe and their heavier Stuck in a Maze. 🎉Do yourselves a favour and discover V and Park Hyo Shin’s collaboration in a song they just released yesterday called Winter Ahead. Not a Christmas song! And not a song you’ll normally expect to find on BillBoard, but so what.…I would not be surprised if it did happen. V does not make music with that in mind. Watch V’s Tiny Desk live performance of songs from his Layover album, before he entered the military last year. Learn to be more open-minded about what the rest of the world is listening to and wanting more of…and why artists some might write off as not having “ popular appeal” thrive and outlast some who bask in brief adoration. Many audiences around the globe don’t always care about how the music industry wants to label an artist or whether their favourite follows the ‘set’ rules of a genre etc or what’s declared as being current or popular…and many certainly don’t regard music, which has elements of being ‘theatrical’ or perhaps even jazzy, with disdain.
