The worst mistake in the entire franchise was the death of Elise, that was so soon, even she continues to help in one way or another in the next movies, still it’s not the same, and the fact that they always bring her back shows the importance of Elise in the Insidious universe. I have a problem with theory...and I'm an underdog and forgiveness kind of guy...Parker entered the life of Barbara Hershey's character family while hospitalized after he cut off his own dicxx! So, he may may have been already been is gender dysphoric child and that could be why his dad left and the mother Joan Crawford-ed out and made him into Marilyn...whom by the way of rumors and theories the youtube stories are loaded with "the truth finally revealed about what we've always suspected" specific videos...that go on to claim that Marilyn was the biggest lesbian of all and had a torrid affair with Joan...I find it a bit far fetched because in a most recent video that spans 50 years they lump in EVERY actress including Judy Garland, Barbara Stanwick, Stevie Nicks, Dolly Parton....for God's sake even though my career was a decade through the 90s no one mentioned me in the tabloids with the famous actor I was living with in a house he brought for me in Malibu after we finished filming a movie in the San Francisco valley area...I was fighting a breach of contract for a film I did where my clause specifically stated no imagery of any religious desecration especially, inverted crosses etc...I was fine with the gratuitous ass scenes but, to also mix a stunt double with his junk flopping all around and then cutting to other footage filmed of me running shirtless in another scene I did film...cost them a fortune and the whole targeting of me was specific because who I was dating was who they wanted for the tabloids but, I was already 3 steps ahead...also, my ex and I would show up at an earlier Bryan Springer type of horror story and get bunches of kids the fxxx out of there.

Sadly this is a common abuse tactic towards children to humiliate and shame them in real life. Demasculates or defeminizes. Honestly… anyone else kinda feel bad for Parker? Like, feel bad for the tormented boy he was, not the murderer he became. His criminal tendencies weren’t born, they were made. And I must admit, seeing the abusive monster and real monster of the story, Michelle, being killed… it felt like the true save. They destroyed the monster that Parker became by killing the memory that warped him. I hope it really does mean that Parker was able to move on by having that memory destroyed, that last string of Michelle, cause Parker truly was another victim, and the real monster was Michelle. Instead of the Red Faced demon using literal puppets, Michelle was puppeting her son.

This can be said for a lot of real life serial killers and criminals; they weren't born evil, they were a product of their environment. That doesn't mean they shouldn't face the consquences of their actions or that they're victims as adults, but life is very complex and as he said in the video: childhood trauma stays with you and affects the way your brain works even into adult years.

I actually feel sorry for the dude. He's not like the other demons in these films and the conjuring. He's genuinely bad, yes. But his evil is not natural. It was forced into him. And unlike most demons / villains, He's a ghost. And unlike the red face demon, He's clearly not pure evil. He is probably scared of the further himself where much stronger villains live. And unlike most villains. He has his own villain haunting him. He's the closest supernatural being to being human. He also clearly wants to possess a body to live a human life. Most of the time in horror films, the demon wants to cause further harm. Possessing in order to murder or possess more humans.

Exactly. In fact, I think this is the root cause of nearly all rape, murder and violent crime. Numerous dictators and tyrants have this history (Hitler, Stalin, Mao, King Leopold II, Kaiser Wilhelm II, Saddam Hussein etc), as do serial rapists like Josef Fritzl, possibly Harvey Weinstein (judging by comments about his home life and his domineering mom mom), murderers like Charles Manson, abusers like Amber Heard, and my colleagues in my line if work helping underprivileged prople tell me that most max security prisoners have a history of trauma in their pasts. If we could find a way to treat children differently, find the symptoms of this acting out a cycle of pain and treat it before it worsens, these crimes would reduce dramatically. "Evil is just a word. Under the skin, it's simple pain."

Actually, the kidnapping of women specifically, tells us more of the sick relationship with his mother, where every victims could potentially be an atempt to get rid of his mother's demands/thoughts/commands, and doing so, could be also an atempt to destroy his mother's image, trying to get back to sanity... paradoxically, each kill brings him even closer to his mother's wishes and background of torture/despair.

You might be right because in Criminal Minds TV series this type of behavior in serial killers exist. The FBI Criminal Behavioral Analysis Unit calls it "Proxying". Like, if the person who traumataized you died before you can hurt them back, you tend to kill other people because these people serve as a "proxy" for the person you really wanted to hurt.

I don’t know if anyone noticed it and I was surprised that everyone’s missed it, but Elise’s death was foreshadowed in Insidious 3 to her. When Parker (aka the bride in black) catches Elise in the further and chokes her and pushes her into the chair with armrests, that was at the Lambert’s home. That was the living room and the chair Josh was sitting in when he went into the further and rescued Dalton. When Elise felt that something was wrong, she took the picture of “Josh” and he snapped and choked her and pushed her into the chair. But it wasn’t Josh, it was Parker aka the bride in black. This is at the very end of Insidious 1.

Sympathy for the young parker but fuck old parker
@sean55588 ай бұрын
It’s a combo of nature and nurture. A tragic start with the abuse he suffered from his mom for sure but he probably already had the genetic predisposition to be a killer likely inherited from his mother. Many people are abused and have gender identity issues but don’t become serial killers .

Parker’s story is really sad. The scene where his mother gets upset over the drawing emphasizes it. He was just an innocent child who made something for a loved one, and she snapped and screams at him.

One of the good sequels out there, I really like the 2nd Insidious, especially how you found out things in the 1st film were explained in the 2nd as Josh desperately tried to contact them.

About the baseball bat, I have two theories that might play hand in hand. 1. It's a sign of his lost childhood and his possessive grip on his new life. 2. Something that you can connect to in the physical realm might enhance your willpower against spirits. As spirits are incorporeal, you can't fight them physically, but will isn't physical and can be used like a shield to push away unwanted spirits.

Is it possible that Michelle was killed by Parker as his first victim and that's the symbolism why we got to see her standing in line with the victims who are covered in cloths?
@shirp Жыл бұрын
My theorynon why possession takes so long isnt because the demon/ghost needs to build a connection but because they need to break the connection of the current inhabiting/living soul and thats why joshes body was deteriorating, because the bond wasnt properly broken so the longer his actual soul is away the more the body will deteriorate or 'die'
@shirp Жыл бұрын
Though now think on it it might be a bit of both, they take half the time to break it and the other time to form the bond

22:40 *I felt this.* As someone who was constantly hit/beaten by my mother as a child, I still have lasting effects from it. Thankfully I have been able to heal some with a great therapists help. Even my siblings who witnessed it still fear her and only understood my fear and helplessness when she lashed out at their significant others for no reason. Thank you for this. 🙏❤️🩹

If I had to guess what happened to Parker‘s father, I think Michelle killing him would be more likely than him leaving Parker alone with his mother willingly

Josh’s body is decaying because of the prolonged lack of connection to the real Josh. It’s essentially Parker being a dead soul can’t pay utilities for the living vessel and he kicked out the one with the active account.
