How does the overall acoustic tone sound on this? I’m really debating between the excel 175 and the EXL-1 or excel 59

All of them are a little bit harder sounding than something with a carved (not pressed) spruce top due to the laminated tops. They're super nice guitars for what they sell for, but not going to find one used for $700 and have it blow out an eastman 910.

nice playing man! , I have the same for about 6 months and Im considering getting rid of it, not really in love with it. Its not playing too buttery and also the tone through my fender Deluxe or Victorialux 2x10 is not projecting with a group, any advice before I throw in the towel lol, thanks!

Have you had the instrument properly set up and experimented with the string type? They ship with their Electrozinc strings which definitely have a different sound, feel and projection than a standard nickel wound set.

I had flats on for a minute which I didn't really like, now I have Daddario 13s on, what strings do you have on? and what amp are you using? thanks man

This instrument has the D'Angelico ElectroZinc strings on it, and it's going through a Wooly Coats Spanky mkii amp.
