+Jonny Stuart Agreed. He's not a bad guitar player BUT these hollow body guitars cry out to be played by a competent jazz player. Either have two guys doing the demo (each playing a different style) or get one guy who can play all styles, but for god's sakes, let's hear some jazz lines and chord comping coming out of that axe!

It's like having Andre Segovia demo a Gibson Flying V It makes zero sense.

Who would buy a 175 to play it that way, but then who would buy a jazz guitar with a bigsby.

The protective foam under the floating bridge has not been removed ! How can he review the sound of these guitars?
@MrSkeeja8 жыл бұрын
I have the Gretsch New Yorker and I did not get around to taking the foam from under the bridge. I was going to wait until I changed the strings. A friend of mine came around and made a whole deal about this and insisted on removing it. There was no discernible difference in the sound. We were both amazed.

I liked the review and these guitars are so SWEET! Each one is a piece of art on each own!!!!!

Paul you're gonna have to learn some chord extensions and at least a couple of jazz licks (giant steps is a good one lol) if you're gonna demo these boxes. And Please don't tell me the white sticker on back of the headstock says "made in China"

Yes, his demos of jazz guitars are not good

I dig guitar shapes and lady shapes. Guitars can be more consistent though in various ways..:-)

The scale length of the EX-175 is a 25", not 25.5".

☑ nice 👍❗ got myself a resale series 59 deluxe in the matte black finish ; I just love the honking bigger 17" 3" deep hollow bodies with DA-90 pups ; I would normally opt for the sexier burst but the deluxe came in at the right price ‼️😎

The guy starts off playing ( 0:15 )the 175 with gain. WTF, why is he doing this on a guitar that should be played clean?

overplaying the instrument may cause you to come to the wrong conclusions. Any guitar that Joe pass plays sounds amazing.

I bought the EX-175. Not too impressed. They look great but feel cheap. For $2000 I would have expected better quality. From now on, I only but American made Gibsons.

$2k really?

Really? I got one for 2k as well and I bought it because it was the most impressive in the shop. And it had a lot of competition

D'Angeligo guitars deserve better quality demonstration by jazz players. Nice visuals..but..

That's correct, I don't think he knows any jazz.

....only if he could've learned to play jazz on these guitars instead of playing them like an acoustic. you have to get guitars like these in your own hands first.
@sicktone99608 жыл бұрын
So, D'Angelico guitars are still being produced in Korea but demanding an American made price tag? Come on guys!You bought the name and outsourced the guitars. Get real. Get American or lower the price tag.

SICktONE I know right? These things should be competing with the Artcore series. For 1,5 grand I d get either a nice acoustic or electric. A laminate guitar with chinese no-name humbuckers strikes me as neither.

Have you even touched a high end Korean guitar? They’re seriously high quality.
