Walker did his thing but don't let him overshadow Justin Martinez. that kid is something special, dude's stuff is easily top 10 in the league. That 102mph 2-seam with a foot of movement and 90mph splitter combo is absolutely disgusting.

Don't forget he's got a Slider as well! Definitely not 70 grade like his other pitches, but it's at least average Here's to hoping he can fill some more high leverage innings (although having him there in case you need a couple of quality innings in a close game is a nice luxury to have)

I’ve NEVER seen a more thorough dismantling of a team, let alone the Dodgers, that happened tonight. They were walking Christian Walker because they couldn’t figure out what witchcraft was happening, and DBacks had all different aspects of defense on SHOW tonight and then they triple struck out the last three batters in the bottom of the ninth including Otani. This is one I’ll remember.

So as soon as the ball is in play, the straight line between the runner and first base is established. The rule is that the runner has to stay within 3 feet of that line to the left or right and it’s up to the umpire if he exceeded those 3 feet. In this case the umpire ruled him safe because that’s how he saw it but another umpire could have ruled him out as soon as they thought he exceeded the 3 feet. This call isn’t able to be challenged as there’s not currently a way to measure those 3 feet precisely as the line between where the runner starts and first base can differ slightly every time. To be honest tho I don’t think any umpire is going to take those 3 feet into consideration unless it looks like an absurd distance from the line.😂

I grew up as a kid in the 50s and 60s. I haven’t watched any baseball since the 2000s. This year I’ve really gotten back into it. What I’ve seen from all teams are spectacular catches and plays here and there, but also nothing but Little League fielding and bonehead mistakes on routine chances. Many players are overweight. It’s always great to win a game, but the hystreonics are as overdone as soccer goal celebrations.
