Me and my group did a pokemon d&d oneshot where we basically went from Pallet Town to Viridian City to get Professor Oak’s parcel and bring it back to him. The oneshot ended with a boss fight against Giovanni, who had captured professor oak trying to steal the pokemon at the lab. We battled his Nidoking but the battle went from a battle against our starter pokemon against his Nidoking to us trainers pushing around and beating up Giovanni himself while our pokemon prevented his Nidoking from helping him. The battle ended with Giovanni being so badly hurt that he ended the battle and his Nidoking had to carry him out of the lab, it was the funniest crap ever so I can’t wait to see what this ends up looking like

For the record, in the old games at least (idk about the modern ones), when all your pokemon faint, the message says you "whited out" not blacked out. So you aren't passed out and carried to a pokemon center, its more like your character gets so incredibly panicked that they don't remember sprinting full-speed back.

Johnny didn’t really roll a lot I think, but they were so great and every time they started up a letter I knew I would lose it. Ellen looked like she was having the time of her life, and I appreciate her trying to roleplay as a nice person even though Andy’s shenanigans were having none of it lol. I cannot imagine all the work Luke had to have done to make this work. And everything Andy did made me double over, because you never expect what he’s gonna do next.

@@torgranael Well if one day it interests you to look into Pokemon, do not look or think too hard about typing because it makes less sense if you try to make sense out of it. Until a certain point Dragon and Fairy type do not exist but moves exist. Dragonite is a Dragon but does not know Dragon moves. Charizard is also a Dragon but falls into that same pitfall of earlier Gens. That's why I like later gens but not so much the "other" Pokemon added, like Vanillite and those kinds. I'm more of a "if I'm going to play then Nuzlocke rules or not at all", but if not Harem Waifu time and I do not discriminate when it comes to Love.

This was hilarious. But for future reference: Confusion wears out at the end of the battle or when the pokemon is called out in battle (so does all the buffs and debuffs) but status effects (poison, burn, paralysis) stay out of battle until healed by an appropriate item or in a center. On the other hand, each pokemon has an asigned catchrate, as well as pokeballs having an assigned success rate, which is how the games calculate wether a pokemon is catched or not; granted the catchrate changes with the HP and statuses aflicted on the pokemon. ... And there are other tidbts of nerd info I could have, but I'm not going to nerd out on you; the approximation was quite good!
