*I am writing just looking the thumbnail Mahatma Gandhi didn't promote any kind of violence because of his deep belief in ahimsa (non-violence). He believed that violence only leads to more violence and suffering, and that true freedom can only be achieved through peaceful means. For him, non-violence was not just a political strategy but a way of life and moral philosophy. He saw it as a way to change not only the political system but also the hearts of both the oppressors and the oppressed. However, some freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Subhas Chandra Bose, and others believed that more direct action, including violent resistance, was necessary to overthrow British rule. They thought that peaceful protests were not enough to deal with the brutality of colonialism. This difference in approach sometimes put them at odds with Gandhi's ideology. India's independence was not the result of just one movement or individual. It was the collective effort of many leaders, movements, and ordinary people across the country. While Gandhi's role was crucial, the sacrifices of revolutionaries, the role of the Indian National Army (INA), and global factors like World War II all contributed to India's independence. It was a multifaceted struggle with various ideologies and methods working together to achieve the common goal of freedom.

Yes we also understand this, but not congress. For them only Ghandhi
@ganeshboro-0022 ай бұрын
@@deepakverma-dc4ex it may be. But I am not talking about political parties whether it's Congress or bjp and others. Parties have their own agenda, but even if the agenda has a bad intension, why do people try to carry it and promote? This shouldn't be seen from a political perspective. Showing the truth and balance of view on freedom fighters is crucial to understand each one's unique way of contribution .
@deepakverma-dc4ex2 ай бұрын
@ganeshboro-002 indeed, people should not get trapped or blindly follow any political party. But if you take an example of a NCERT book, there are numerous of them which are not mentioned and here it is the responsibility of the government to include this into textbooks . But this did not happen. And here historians are too responsible for this.
@ganeshboro-0022 ай бұрын
@@deepakverma-dc4ex my point was to say, if a party (eg. Congres) picks one for example Gandhi from many that fits their political agenda and place at front of all; just because of this, haters of Congress can start to hate Gandhi. This shouldn't be it. There is no fault of Gandhi, its just a political motive and we should be aware of that. Instead influencers try to contribute in that hateful mindset for particuler by their contents . They prais others while heavily criticising one like Gandhi. Gandhi had his own flaws. This shouldn't be like downgrading someone to put someone up. There need to be a balance in view. Yes if our textbooks lacks in providing truth and complete knowledge, or shows only in favour of someone particularly,here comes government's involvement.
