Can someone tell me where to get that water bottle he is using. I love it. I'm just dripping it with a finger but that looks much nicer. I what that water bottle for my painting supplies.

KillerMini's heh, I hear that. I gotta ask, what are your recommendations on painting the clear magic effects? I watched a video where someone was painting a metal wizard and suggested painting it white first so that the effect’s colors popped, and I did that effect on a Nolzur’s magical sword, and it looked pretty cool, but it made me want to paint the same model a little differently this time.

I'm not quite sure I understand the question. Case in point this Gelatinous Cube... I used a Clear Gloss Varnish and tinted it with inks... and to me it maintained it's transparency and has a Glow to it... suggesting magical power. I suppose you could experiment with a white background and then apply paint on that white and for sure, it will make the color pop but I'm not sure it will remain transparent. So I guess I need to understand if the effect you're going for will be opaque or transparent???

KillerMini's that’s kinda what I’m asking. In the case of the cube, the method here does in fact evoke a magical property, I guess what I’m asking is, on those transparent magical effects would you use a similar method that you’ve used here, or go for something more opaque? I’ve done one, thinking of trying to just apply a more gloss. Maybe I ought to just experiment

@@nickmanzo8459 ok, gotcha.. yes I would and will try this method of Tinted Clear Varnish for magical effects. You can use either Matte/Satin/ or Gloss depending on the result your going for. If you've already tried on a peice and you went transparent, I would recommend this Minwax Varnish as it's affordable and very very glossy, and can be colorized or tinted with inks/washes ect. Honestly, if you go opaque its an entirely different approach and will take alot of Source lighting effects ( OSL ) which can be a very advanced technique and one I haven't got a good grasp on. hope that helps.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it... looks great on the shelf, looks great on the game table. It has this pristine shine that lures in hapless adventurers ;)
