Reminds me of the one-shot I ran for my family on Christmas Eve. I had them trapped in a cabin by a snow storm, attacked periodically by monsters. My brother-in-law spent basically the whole time berating the NPC Cleric, and wanting to steal from and/or kill the old woman who lived in the cabin. At the end of the game, when they beat the last monster, he did just that, simply because she annoyed him? I'm still not entirely sure why, except that he admitted he played DnD like he played Skyrim. Which is to say, as a murder hobo. I had the NPC Cleric abandon the party and tell on them to the nearby village. Because _of course_ their Lawful Good Cleric wasn't going to take kindly to cold-blooded murder of an innocent old woman.

The bit about you and Freda's player building them together to make them the perfect evil couple reminds me of something KINDA like this that happened in one of my groups. So this group is the one playing Rise of the Runelords currently. I was friends with most of the players but didn't know two of them. I made my character separate from the others only knowing their classes. Since this is the first time a caster was open I rolled up a Neutral Good tiny 5.3 human arcanist named Melitta. She was pretty much a walking magical girl reference/joke. With personality traits of Sailor Moon and Mercury and the outfit of Tuxedo Mask. I made a dumb note that she was into muscle dudes. Another player happened to role up a Chaotic Neutral large 6.4 human shoanti blood rager with Aberrant black blood named Galvan who had Lamashtu in his ear urging him to go more and more towards evil . Not only was Melittaone of the first people not afraid of him but actually went out of her way to help him control his powers (she worshiped Sarenrae the goddess of redemption and love) she ended up saving his soul from Lamashtu with the power of love, converted him to Good, accidentally made him the next in line to be chief of his tribe and atm in the campaign the two are engaged. Hopefully these two idiots live. Neither of us planned this to happen mind you. We kinda noticed how we where having the two act and talked about and it. I said I was fine with it and told him I was gonna have her spill her guts to Galvan and just have him react accordingly. Thankfully while we did this the other PCs did goofy shit to make the scene funny though. (one had a massive hang over and was screaming in the other room)

Oh my gosh! That's so good! Arrrrrrgggghh ! I want your DM! Also, all of this make me think about a dungeon that my brother made for the fun. There weren't a lot of scenario but it was fun! We were 3. I was playing Mina, a tieflin cleric of Kord (the one who hit hard) who was certain to be human. My brother was playing Godena, an half god paladin of Heroenus also certain to be human. And the last one was playing She'dar, a fire genesis mage who loves money and who see his entire family getting killed by an acid dragon. We enter in a dungeon where we were attacked by some little flames. My brother just wanted to make some annoying enemies who would take a little bit of our life's points... 1) fire genesis and tieflin have a fire resistance 2) Mina throw some water on them... instant death... After that, we walked into a lot of corridor and room, avoiding booby traps and getting lost. Finally, we found the stairs. A the top, there was a door and we could see some shape through the holes in it. We open it... Zombies! During the fight, She'dar did a critical fail... His sword (yes, he was in close combat even if he had ~10HP max back then) flew to Mina. Roll to see if he pass my armor... natural 20! Mina is down! She'dar take a hit... down too! Hopefully, I was using a spell that made me invisible to the undead with all of the things that touched me. I roll a dice to see if it was still active... and it was! Godena rush to us and, with the help of my spell, put us to safety behind the door, in the stairs. Here, we took a break to heal. And at this moment, I remembered something... The paladins can use a spell that kill the undead! My brother turn to me and said: " isn't that a cleric spell?" I rushed to the book... It was... We killed the undead like there were nothing! And She'dar took his sword back. After that, we enter the "boss" room. I shooted a grec fire (is that the right word?)... Missed... She'dar throw an arrow... Critical fail, again. It's for Godena shoulder this time! The boss take his chance and throw Godena next to She'dar. Mina killed the boss! When I hit, I can make a lot of damage! ^^ But I need to hit first.... (My dices hate me so they always fails) I don't really remember the treasure we found after, but we remember this part pretty well ^^ I hope this is not to confusing... I'm french and I'm still learning the English so I may have made a few (a lot) mistake...

Love your stuff, keep it up! Relatively new to DnD, but I got a story if you wouldn’t mind it coming back it of nowhere. After the DM had gotten us to the same tabern, we were getting drunk and started to talk to one another. Suddenly, the doors burst open, and out comes a red-skinned trifling with a loud voice and a Russian accent. After a while of spouting deliriously about the unbelievable amount of hold and riches he had to give to any who could be considered “worthy”, my fairly hammered alcoholic half long opted to follow him outside. The rest of the part followed suit, and then to DM told us to roll initiative. As we roll, the tie fling stands up (as he was hunching over the whole time, draped in a tattered cloak) showing us his well-built, seven foot tall frame. We were surprised by this, of course, but we figured he was probably just a lune who went to the gym. Mistake #1. The tiefling then reached his hand to the back of his head, and we heard a click. Suddenly, similar to iron man, a mask assembled itself over the tiefling’s head, shaped as a skull. The walking stick he was holding became segmented at the till, like a 4 pronged trident, while the bottom half became curved and sharpened until it resembled a sickle, with the inside stuck to the staff and the outside sharpened to a razor edge. We figured that he may be high level, but the party, a sorcerer, Druid, rogue, and 2 bards, were sure we could handle it. Mistake #2. You see, we were all level 1, while we had absolutely no idea how dangerous the tiefling could be. However, when the Dragonborn bard toon the first hit and suffered 9 damage, leaving only 1 hit point left, we all immediately backed up. The rogue tried to beak around his backside and attack, but the enemy dodged, then missed his own attack. This bought me enough time to use healing word to give the bard 7 hop,bringing her back up to 8, and I then backed up a little. All other members of our party missed, except for the Druid, landed a solid hit on the tiefling with his wooden quarter staff- which Immediately broke in two. The tiefling glanced at him, whispered “you are worthy” , and walked towards the sorc menacingly. Now terrified of the man who literally shattered a quarter staff with his face, the sorc tried to cast sleep. We then discovered that he had more than 35 hp. We were now terrified. However, I was determined to get a hit, so I swung my rapier at his knee, Hoping to do some damage. I roll a 25, and we all cheer. Mistake #3. The tiefling skips back, inhumanly fast, and GRABS MY RAPIER, proceeding to bend it in half. “Pathetic”. He then turns towards me, about to attack, when the rogue comes from behind and attempts to sneak attack, missing. He trades blows with the tiefling as a back up 10 day, thinking of how I could surviv

Some spelling errors, don’t know how to edit on mobile, and I also accidentally posted. In the end, I threw my rope at the rogue, screamed “LEGS”, and we charged the tiefling. He failed a fez and strength save, going down hard, which allowed everyone to wail on him. After he gets up, he growls @you two are worthy”, then flings around , throwing a chain o.n his belt at the sorcerer. Caught by surprise, she’s entangled and goes down. She then realizes that the chains are slick, and the tiefling pulls out a match, dropping it in the chain. Realizing the danger just in time, our Druid uses his passive to snuff the flames. The tiefling looks at him, then says, “You are already worthy, do not interfere.” He gets it ready again, but I prestidigitate the flame out again. Suddenly the tiefling wheels on me, yelling “WILL YOU STOP THAT?”, then attempts to light the match again. Suddenly the sorcerer coughs. The tiefling g looks at her, and she says, “You know i won’t burn. Right?” She was a bronze dragonborn. The tiefling stands there, dumbfounded, then laughs. “I suppose you are all worthy.” He left, and I am now scared to see him again. After the fight, my DM told me personally that he had 26 AC. We were level one. Why?
