@raerncornerproduction60734 жыл бұрын
One way a DM can end that really fast is as the DM is talking just let them talk like they are. The DM tells them the information that was needed and when he is done. The DM just ask what do you do now. As soon as they ask what is going on or anything that you as the DM said instead of repeating it just say I told you what was going on it is not my fault you was not listening. Now what are you going to do. Stop repeating it. Even if one player is paying attention to what the DM is saying he could have that one only roll a dice to see what all he heard from the noise around him then only say what he would have picked up which would not be everything which could include some very important information. I keep trying to listen to the DM in here and they keep talking I just keep wanting to yell shut up, just shut up and listen to what the DM is telling you. Also as the DM you could as take it that while they are talking among themselves that is what their characters are doing as well. So The DM could say while you are standing around talking among yourself the enemy rushes you and attacks you. You are caught off guard as you was to busy talking among yourselves on what you was going to do they get an extra attack ect.

Fun show! And excellent terrain and miniature buildings. I think towards the end the PCs could be Disengaging on their Action (which I thought meant no Opportunity Attacks from enemies) and then use their Move to hustle away quickly. I always think of Disengage as a way to carefully guard yourself as you step out of combat reach and then you turn tail and skedaddle. I always find it fascinating when players start dealing with getting knocked out. It's scary, but there are nice mechanics in D&D to look forward to, like rolling a 20 on a Death save, which means you wake up with 1 hp and you're back in the fight again! Great job, guys!

Years later, but rage lasts for a minute, which is 10 rounds. It only ends if the raging barbarian is knocked unconscious or does not attack anything for a round and does not take damage. So it continues if the barb attacks regardless if they hit or miss and/or if the barb takes damage. I think for the very first session of a game for new players it would be ok for them to reroll the dice as they are learning. At this point in time there should be no rerolling. They should by now know more about the game so rerolling for attacks, damage ect should no longer be allowed. What I am talking about there is like when the dice hits Carl's clipboard and it is a low roll he wants to reroll it because it hit the clipboard, or when heather gets a low roll and wants to reroll it. The sad part is how fast Carl, and Heather wants to blame everything on Trixie and Willie. This is their doing over and over again. Millo saying that trixie does magic so it is her doing. That would be the same as me saying it could be Millo because she also does magic.
@lexieangelo2 жыл бұрын
righhhht, i know i’m a little late. but this exactly. them blaming everything on trixie and willie is kinda annoying to watch because they were the ones that messed everything up. they literally wanted to fight the constables and willie didn’t want any part of it so he left, and then they tired blaming everything on trixie because anna wasn’t there when it happened. i’m glad those two are going to try and figure everything out themselves.
@misguidedghost87276 жыл бұрын
Why do they hate there former two team mates and jumping to conclusions that those two were even there thry should gather information before they jump to conclusions because if they want to get out of this mess they have to have a calm mind and a plan of how they get their information. People who jump to conclusions always gets the wrong answer so they should think before they act on what they feel is right. Almost all gut feelings that are used in investigations are usually wrong but you have the certain few that they just guess and get it right like the ACT exam that you have to take to get into college. All I'm saying is think before you act because acting before you think then you get in some deep sh*t.

@BillAllanWorld6 жыл бұрын
The temple was full of priestesses, armed and armored, who all got wiped out. Only 1 survived. So, your question is probably asking why none of the PCs were watching the statue. This is a very good question, indeed.
@fourdotsYT6 жыл бұрын
Yeah... and if so many assailants got into the temple to wipe out so many priestesses then it's an even better question... The very thing they were supposed to do: protect the crystals. #FAIL. Tsk, tsk. I would have also done some better crowd control, luring/funnelling attackers through a single entrance. Perhaps covered or barricaded the other entrances, and focus-firing on enemies as they entered. I mean they had a both fortified and defended structure and home advantage, plus they knew an attack was likely coming that very night. This is what happens if there's no planning, and a hobo-murder full frontal attack approach to everything. Strategy next time people! Stay calm, be like Neo.

Hey Bill, me again! I was recently watching this episode and I decided to make some of these modular tiles for me and my dnd group/groups. I got all the materials and sizes, but then it hit me: I’ve got no clue of how many of each format i should make! So I kinda wanna ask you, how many 1x1, 2x2 and 3x3 modular grid tiles do you usually bring to the table (and am I missing some format that would be handy except for the above?) Already many thanks from a novice DM and his friend
@BillAllanWorld5 жыл бұрын
Okay, so I have found that the 3x3 and 2x2 are the most important. I almost never use 1x1. If you're 3d printing them or making them from scratch, then I would do a 2:1 ratio of tiles. For example: If you want 20 of the 2x2 tiles, you should make 40 of the 3x3 tiles. I think I have around 80 of the 3x3 tiles and 40 of the 2x2 tiles, which I find to be more than sufficient. Hope this helps!
@jandepaepe42625 жыл бұрын
Awesome!!! I’m actually just using this tough 1.5mm cardboard to cut out tiles and i tripple layer them with a base plate and tiles on both sides (with a gap of about 2mm in between)! This realy helps.

Ok well.... i dont really know what to say, its kinda beating a dead bush at this point and i probably will sound like an ass but... Why the hell does it feel like everyone on the Temple' side of things (not just the players) are just measly lvl 1 npcs? While the other side (the attacking side) have like 10 mobs that ressurect (or have 2 lives) perfectly capable sneaks/thieves that just don't ever fail. Also, what character can cast that sort of magic? He has to be at least level 6 or 10 or something... that's a lot of bodies for a spell to affect ! Where is Charra? isn't she like the guard elite? I would expect her to be at least level 5 and be able to handle 2-3 mobs at once no problem, let alone handle more with backup by her side. Drake should have been the same deal almost, i dont know what level his character was (hopefully not 1!) but I'll assume they didn't really take the time to read everything they can do with their respective class in combat. I felt like when you introduced these 2 characters, they would HEAVILY impact whatever events they would partake in, because they are supposed to be very strong.... But I guess if you did that then it wouldn;t be fun for the players to see a bunch of NPCs auto-fight eachother and resolve stuff by themselves... it is the players' story so maybe you were following some sort of DM principle to still keep players in the center of the action, despite those 2 characters also being there. But the nail in the coffin was this: Ralof suggests Extra guards around the eyes, anti-magic protection, and to have the eyes be replaced, HOURS BEFORE THE FIGHT. The priestess agrees. Eyes get stolen anyway. Excusemewtf :))))) That moment felt really annoying to watch... Overall, the fight seemed terribly one sided for me and it seemed to me that for some reason you were punishing the "good" (murder hobo aside) party that chose to defend THEIR HOME TOWN/REGION, that in the end decided to be on the lawful good side of things, while you were buffing and giving all sorts of excuses and easy ways out for the "evil" party who just decided "yeah let's screw everybody except us" ! Like, the good party had 3, now 4 lvl 1 characters, versus the 2 lvl 1s from the bad party, its 4v2 the good party should win that fight any time of the day or night. All in all this was 5+ years ago , nothing is really relevant at this time soo no hard feelings... Hopefully the campaign ending turns out great.
@BillAllanWorld Жыл бұрын
Honestly, the NPCs were matched appropriately. The guardians and hierarchy at the Temple of Vusaq where a mix (level 8 cleric, a handful of level 5 paladins, and a bunch of level 3 clerics). The "bad guys" had one major level 8 Warlock backing them, plus a bunch of cannon fodder, plus the PCs who chose to join the bad guys.
