D&D2024: BARD GUIDE

Bards are great. You really can play any type of character with a bard. I have a Glamor Bard build in mind for my next campaign as a player. The changes to the Command and Suggestion spells make a Bard look really fun to play.

I’ve had this rock star style bard in mind for a while. Originally I was going to use a changling so it could imitate anyone, but I think it’s just going to end up as a human. He’s going to be a mix of Bon Scott from AC/DC and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. Bagpipes, a guitar, and a microphone stand (quarterstaff) Probably a little Fiend patron Warlock mixed in, because he sold his soul for rock n’ roll!

@@TheSinisterheroes I got to see AC/DC back in ‘91 for the Thunderstruck tour. The cannons they shot off during For Those About to Rock, were so loud, they cracked the foundations of the Dane County Coliseum. My head was buzzing for a month after the show. Lost some hearing from that show, no question.

I think the college of dance is one of the more interesting new subclasses

I will cover it for the next video it is interesting but there is one thing I feel like is missing but I’ll get into it soon

@@TheSinisterheroes Personally I think the dance bard was a big miss, it only really has one good feature, which is the initiative buff to your whole party, all the rest of what it gets are just really underwhelming.

I’m okay with the changes to the bard. The new countercharm is a great change. Magical secrets has less options but I understand that there are spells that are specific to other classes that bards shouldn’t learn.
