‘Tank War’ by Mark Urban has a good bit on Villers Bocage. Worth a read. Good discussion of the morale and performance issues that 7th armoured division had during the battle.

My understanding has been that Challengers were not initially present in Normandy due to problems with adequately waterproofing them for D-day and landing them across the beaches rather than through the Mulberry harbour.

Thanks for the video. Really looking forward to this game. I watched the two Tank Museum videos and have thinking about how to play that out in 15mm. I play a modified FoW with Bolt Action activation dice as well as Overwatch and Opportunity Fire. I don't think this scenario would play out well without at least some sort of Reaction Fire.

I've been on such a huge WWII kick for quite some time now guys and was wondering on your thoughts about Flames of War. Are they "due" for an update and such? V for Victory has definitely got my attention as well, though I would probably stick to 28mm for that one. Excited to see what the next Bolt Action will look like but that's still aways off and V will already be here to scratch that itch (hopefully). Thanks again guys!

4th ed will be sticking around for at least another year (early war for 2025 is in 4th ed). There is a scenario refresh coming (it’s being trialled in the tournament scene this year), but that won’t invalidate rulebooks, it will be a new download.

With respect, NEVER cite Lazerpig and Villers Bocage. His video on it was full of inaccurate claptrap, such as claiming Wittmann was battalion commander there and that he returned for the second battle that day.
