Took ecg immediately , and found those classic changes s1q3t3.also while doing ecg saw his lower limbs, had h/o varicosity . thought it might be a DVT case. And thn started treatment. He was hospitalized for less thn a week and thn got discharged. It was my first PE case .😎

So basically d dimer is a measurement of waste coming out of broken clot. If that's the case, what if there are too many clots but due to any unknown issue clots are not being broken proportionally? The d dimer value might show positive value but may not give the true picture. Is it a true scenerio? If yes then how it can be tackled?

@@amarahmed5313 Mostly anti coagulant are given. Clexane .6 ml injection is recommended, check for liver infection also, if liver infection is there than D- Dimer will be high. Ask your Dr first.
