Hey josh I’ve been curious to ask you guys why mur or whatever switched to a common rail? Isn’t the 12v the holy grail for performance??? I’m curious to hear both your guys inputs on why he changed. Thanks man!

Show me a daily driven 1100hp 12v that’s smoke free. Reason we switched more streetable power. 12 valves are Smokey pigs

@@horsetorquesdiesel that’s all I wanted to hear! Thanks for replying brotha! I have an 02 I’ve been contemplating on swapping to p pump and when I saw he did that swap really started questioning if it was worth it. You have so much knowledge I wish there was an easier way I could stay in touch and get your input on certain things throughout my build process because I’m really green but really wanting to do a lot myself. Thanks!

Always really cool to see how different shops operate. I'm sure as someone that works at PDD you have a really good appreciation for it. Also as an engine builder I'm sure it's like a kid in a candy shop. All the billet parts! Hope you have a safe trip home. Can't wait to see the 05 hurt some more feelings this year.

2 stone hone "rebuild" is going strong! How much oil did you go through in your 4,000 mile journey? Love the look inside your new engine. So it's a stock block with a 1" deckplate? Stock stroke? Production or aftermarket crank?
@horsetorquesdiesel3 жыл бұрын
Like 3 gallons 😂 stock 6.7 stroke longer rod!
@lukestrasser3 жыл бұрын
@@horsetorquesdiesel some might even say that 3 gallons on a 1300 HP truck with a 2 stone hone "rebuild" is barely any. I would be in that camp. Glad you made the round trip just fine, you know, just your basic 1300 HP street truck.

Yeah I believe their performance series are around 18-20 ish depending on options. Then enforcers start around 28ish before you do extra stuff if I remember right. Niiicccce motors. I’m wanting to do the performance series. Just to have a solid 1200 compound setup I never have to worry on. Later down the road of course haha

Those total seal rings I just wonder I guess that’s a really good package I’m thinking about something like that when I rebuild my 59 it’s not gonna be a major racer by any chance but just trying to make the engine more efficient I had a zero gap set of rings and I still do in my stage five hemi conversion in my 72 Plymouth and far as I’m concerned I seen the results and other applications are the step second ring from Childs and Albert was excellent

I don't wanna pry too much but what does a build like this cost? I'd love to have a purpose built weekend drag truck but I only just got my first diesel so I got a lot to learn before I'm at that stage. But just to make 800 hp it's already cost as much as my 5.7 Hemi stroker build did 🤣.

Did they attach the torque plate using head bolts or studs? I've seen a bunch of shops use bolts when the final build calls for studs which seems to negate the whole process.
