That was an incredibly good rendition of David Crosby's great song. Very nice mandolin playing by Chris added lots to this version. I loved this song when it came out on the album of the same name, and I love it still.

Incredible artist who is still making great music and surrounding himself in brilliant young creative musicians. It will be an absolute pleasure to see him live later this year.

Funny comments regarding Chris Thile, obviously not knowing he is a well-known, long-time genius on that mandolin. It is great when founding musicians can get together with the up and comings of this generation.

Feel like I've been here before, the cool thing is now he can say I feel like I've been Live From Here before. Next time, I hope Sarah and Aoife can join him in harmonies or Becca Stephens.

I'm not quite sure why Chris chose not to sing the Stephen Stills harmonies on this song it really lacked the depth of the original. Surely Thile's tenor was easily capable of doing so.
@vexedboy6 жыл бұрын
I thought his comping on songs was well done, with the thought that David's voice doesn't go where it once did , so not knowing how he might deal with high notes, allowances needed to be made.
@nathangolliher27766 жыл бұрын
Thile doesn't have enough dumbstruck in his voice.

Knew a guy was in prison with him in Texas in the 80s. Said he was real tight with his money, and had these boil like things on the side of his neck.

I've been such a fan of his until his recent insane comments. And while I've always taken his Far-Left views with a lot of salt and some humor, wishing ill on people in a burning building because you don't like the name on it, really has affected my love for his music which has never happened before. I pity his inhumanity, but pity myself more for excusing it all these years.

Not a fan of Ted's music. And I'm not a fan of extremism on either side of the aisle. I've seen David over 40 times in various combinations since 1985. I've never given a shit about his politics. But that tweet showed me that he is a classless and soulless human being. You know, over the past couple for years David's mouth has cost him his best friend and Neil Young that we know of. Eventually, you have to have a heart to heart with yourself and realize "maybe it's me". Either way, I'm done with him. And that's all I can do to protest his brand of hate. You can obviously continue to enjoy him. I wish I could! But when you wish ill on fire-fighters and people just trying to live a life because of a name on a building, that's hate. I don't give a shit if you carry around an acoustic guitar and preach the gospel of "Peace, Love & Happiness or not.

CS&N are NOT hypocrites! Unlike the extreme right, they have always admitted their views, and have even gone so far to say don't come to their shows if you don't like it! All the hypocrites on the right have is Ted! Such a pity! BTW, I love these guys on the right who say they won't hear his music because of his comments! Hypocrites, all of them! (For the record, Crosby has always said stupid things, but his politics are separate!)

We all have the right to Freedom of Speech ~ We also have the right to listen to whatever floats our boat ~ It's all really quite simple ~ You can lead a human to knowledge but you can't make it think ~
@stevedrums16756 жыл бұрын
Let's take your lack of comprehension to what I said and simplify it. Shall we? 1) I never mentioned Stills or Nash - outside of the fact that he is not talking to Crosby. In essence for being "an asshole". 2) I don't know what the "Extreme Right" is nor do I represent them. I'm an individual. Not a lap dog taking my cues from a machine head who gives nothing of a shit about me and everything about their power base and donations. 3) When someone makes a career dancing to the "Peace, Love & Happiness" mantra in words, yet does everything opposite to that credo in action, eventually you have a decision to make. When someone wishes ill and death to firefighters and people living in a building that is on fire because they don't like the name on it, that is not only as intolerant as they come, but it's also a sign of mental illness. Who the hell wishes death on fire-fighters doing their jobs??? If this is acceptable to you, then enjoy. I'm not here to tell you what your moral compass should be. I'm just telling you where mine is at. I'll still listen to the songs already on my iTunes playlist. But I'll never buy another thing of his again, nor will I see him live. Because the man who demands tolerance and love for his views from everyone else, offers absolutely none in return for mine.
