I feel same, haha how old are u and do you learn or did learn a language and why for fun or for something else i’m curious bc i’m 15 not verry old and i did learn korean just for a week not with a special goal but just for fun (i liked the korean colture and kdramas) and i liked it but then it get kind of bored because i did get the idea that i forced my self so i stopped but when i feel like it i really want to start again

A few corrections from a Hungarian: “Ma akarok beszélni a nyelvtanulásról” = Ma a nyelvtanulásról akarok beszélni My experience = az élményemről, or in plural: az élményeimről As you were speaking about your French skills, your medium skills count as “tárgyalóképes” (conversational) I think when you mean at 2:26, you want to say “amikor sokat hallgatom a nyelvet, akkor tudok a legtöbbet tanulni” (when i listen to a language a lot, this is when i can learn the most) “etc” in hungarian is “és a többi” something like this :) I only listened to half of the video but I’m already so proud and grateful to you!! I wish you to keep up your enthusiasm for my native language and I am here for you if you want study native Hungarian! ❤️

As a hungarian, I can say you’re doing pretty well! A small tip : instead of using “akarok” use “szeretnèk” it sounds more natural, means ‘I would like to” and not “ I want to” :)

So, so impressed. I don't know any Hungarian whatsoever, but I can still be impressed at how confidently you talk in the language (despite saying you're not fluent). I can only hope to be like this with all the languages I learn.

Én is tanulom a magyar nyelvet, nagyon jó a videód és örülök vagyok hogy sok értettem :) nagyon jó a tippjeid, például hogy fontos, hogy gyakran használ a nyelvet. Szerencsére nekem vannak magyar barátok, akikkel mindig magyarul írok. Sokakat szavakat tanultam, amikor kell használnom azokat ezzel barátaimal a chatünkben. De nem gyakran hallgatom magyarul, ezért leszek check outni ezeket podcastokkat, amikről mesélted :)

Heyy Lindie, I'm Hungarian and you are soo cute and so good!! :) You are doing great, it is SUCH A MONSTER of a language, if I wasn't native I could never learn it, that's for sure! :D (Medium = közép, közepesen) Your pronounciation is actually great, keep up the good work ^^ For example I think it's mega hard to understand the difference between definite and indefinite conjugation (unsure what it's called in English, but that's how we learn it at school) like: Nem érteK meg mindent a podcastból // Nem érteM meg teljesen a podcastot, to give you an example. p.s. Hi, first off your Hungarian is so awesome!! 💖 Second, I saw on another video that you welcome corrections, if that's still the case, then I have a few in the pronunciation area that were most noticable for a native ear :) otherwise feel free to ignore and keep up the good work. ty/gy (so it doesn't sound like cs/dzs) - Tap the back of your aveolar ridge with the center-front (1/3 line approx.) of your tongue, make it a bit of a plosive. The tip of your tongue meanwhile is curved downwards, for me it's resting behind my bottom teeth, it's definitely nowhere near my upper teeth/palate - this will make all the difference. It's a similar tongue position to ny for me, but I'm not sure how you're forming that one as that's a bit more forgiving. For hilarity, ask for a Hungarian to demo calling chickens and try to imitate :)) s - try and use the edge (tip) of your tongue instead of the first quarter, it's a similar shape to where we roll our r-s. This should get you cleaner sounding open vowels surrounding your s-es. o/ó/ö/ő, u/ú/ü/ű - round your lips a smidge more and you'll nail it :) o-ó ö-ő are significantly rounded, u-ú ü-ű are even more rounded and also protruding. a has your lips neutral/relaxed, and á e é i have increasing spread/stretching to the side, in that order. Side note, I found it super interesting that I articulate differently while smiling than you do! The lip rounding remains more intact, there's just a lot of added muscle tension overall to counteract the side pull. I hope some of this helps because at least for me personally pronunciation has been a huge roadblock when it comes to finding clear explanations 😭 Tysm for all your language learning content, I'm feeling extra inspired after binging your channel :))

great work! if you can spend some time in Hungary involved in some activity with Hungarians, you would improve so much more. Mostly fluency. I play beach volleyball with only Hungarians here in Budapest, and it has helped a lot.

A magyar nyelv nem egyszerű nyelv, ha csak abból indulok ki, hogy ritka az a magyar szó aminek nincs 5-6 féle ragozása. Itt nincsenek igeidők, itt a ragozással fejezik ki az időket. De mindazonáltal, hogy megemlítsem, a szórend legalább nem kötött. Ez van. Én anyanyelvi szinten írok olvasok és nem utolsó sorban beszélek magyarul.

Igen, a kötőszavakon kívül (és, mert, tehát, stb...) kb. mindent lehet ragozni. Igeidők viszont vannak, a jövő időt például a 'fog' segédige ragozásával plusz főnévi igenévvel fejezzük ki, illetve a feltételes mód múlt idejénél pedig annyi, hogy az adott ige múlt idejű alakját ragozzuk és hozzárakjuk a 'volna' segédigét.

Your guess is good. We borrowed that from a Turkic language. It's written 'sok', 's' being pronounced in Hungarian as the letter 'ş' in Turkish.

@@LindieBotes Both Tai Lue and Thai distinguish /tʰ/ from /t/; with "Tai" being unaspirated and "Thai" aspirated. AFAIK neither English nor Hungarian normally distinguishes aspiration of stops. If you were talking in Hungarian about Tai and Thai, how would you distinguish them?
