Even though it has nothing to do with me, it’s really hurtful to see ‪@DLHughley1010‬ and Mo’Nique beefin’. D.L. is one of my mentors, and I started out in comedy with Mo’Nique, and all this makes my nerves bad.

My late father used to say, "There's a time and place for everything." "There's your way, and there's the right way." Mo'Nique may be 100% right, but she handled it wrong. Now, she has no credibility, regardless of what went down. Every time you turn around, she's in another scrap with somebody. She's gotta look in the mirror and face the one constant in her problems.

How is it she’s 💯% right but needs to look in the mirror??? Make that make sense dude. She’s out spoken nothing wrong with that! She stands in her truth nothing wrong with that! She has plenty credibility! What has she said or done to discredit her????? Everyone who has wronged her had to come back and apologize go figure!!!!!!!! DL is a pompous azz pretentious af hiding behind the wing he has shown himself for whom he really is!!!!!

It's crazy how a female or a male puts their energy into making a better way for you to come through instead of the B.S. they went through for you to be great without going through the B.S. that you think they are wrong. She is fighting and letting those coming behind her not go through the B.S. and she needs to know when and where it's a time and a place for it. looks like she isn't the problem we are. just my two cents

He had a video with Luenell and other comedians and they broke it down. If it was an issue she could have went to the promoter but everything here and the flyers supported what he was saying. If they were both good it didn't matter who went first or last because the show was successful and crowd had a good time.

I think there was more to the story behind the scenes. If Monique was supposed to headline then the artist schedule, the ticket stub, and the marketing flyers should’ve showed that. Yes she had a contract, but for DL to get in his head that he was the headliner it’s the promoters who made the flyers and schedule who fucked up. I believe there was definitely sabotage involved.

Just be glad you were working and making money. who cares who is going first or second. what did your paper look like. Sometimes you got to look at you. when you can't get along with others. It can't always be them Sometimes its you. People spent good money to see a show. They got a angry rant. With all the craziness going on in the world get your paper do a great show and move on. Monique should have let her talent speak for her. The audience should have left saying she should have been the headliner or she was bettr than....she should have been last out. Word would have got out. But the way she did it took away from her and the show. The conflict should have been handled better.

I love my black people but if we not killing each other we hating we fighting we are belittling the next.. DO BETTER MY SISTERS AND BROTHERS. Monique might be going through some challenges with her mental health. Being cast out of the entertainment industry may have done some damage to her emotionally and mentally. I'm sure it had to be a blow to her self-esteem. She's a woman in a male dominated industry so she probably doesn't want to appear weak but, being hostile is not the answer to anything. How Long y'all think this should be by a person who keep using my babies I'm doing this for you???? Black women really???? So what y'all saying it is ok to KEEP publically calling out these people who are not ACTIVE doing anything to her. I am not saying g it didn't happen to her what I am saying is Mo when you gonna heal and get back to the Mo we can lmaoooo with? DL made a point there are people trying to escape the pain we seeing in this world and now it is all about you and yours. Make the people happy and move on. She was dead ass wrong PERIOD hoe many times we gonna hear all your pain. Kevin Hart did stand up made millions off his pain and guess moved on. Chris Brown after the Rhanna thing LEARNED who was his friends in the industry guess what moved on, Eddie Murphy had issues with SNL guess what he moved on. Mo has not and that is the problem she is rooted in bitterness and u forgiveness. Lesson too you CANNOT ASK AND DEMAND FORGIVENESS AND THEN DON'T FORGIVE either that is not how that works. When you do the healing then her tone and the respect she so demand will also be there and it isn't over 50 and still ranting needs to be checked. Love Monique's comedy, think she's a very talented woman but she was dead wrong for this! Always talking about her babies and sisters in the world. Well what is she showing us? That your ego is more important than anything else? That tearing someone down just to build you up? That being ignorant is the best way to handle your conflicts in life? No momma, you were wrong as two left shoes and I for one am very disappointed in you. I wish Mr. D.L. Hugely had just went out on stage after her, did his set and went home but I guess she made that hard for him to do. I'm a woman of 60 plus years and this was so wrong. She spoke on her giving everything over to God and God gave it right back to her! When has God ever needed anyone's help? Naw baby you just let your ego get in the way. I have never been a big fan of Mr. D.L. comedy but I love him as a human being and that deserves a little compassion. Sister Monique, I'm all about women taking up for themselves but you did it the wrong way. If you don't hurry up and get yourself together, you're gonna find yourself being yourself by yourself! Love and peace to both of you.🌹

Rickey, I waiting for you to speak on this distressing issue because I knew you would keep it REAL! I really want to go back to the the days when we "spoke" (not messaged) privately to eachother about our issues/conflicts. Back when we didn't have our perspectives filtered through a management team, an entourage or technical devices. This simple approach promotes the "decently and in order" principles and avoids vicious public beefs that become a social media feeding-frenzy. WE must THINK before opening our mouths, check that EGO, and maintain a standard of professionalism and self-respect. WE must do better!! Thank you for genuinely caring Rickey🙏🏽🖤

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God having a form of godliness but denying its power. But let us not forget Matthew 18:16-17. "But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.' And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. " I watched the clip of Monique and there's no telling what was said backstage. But Monique made a point to mention the contract. She also mentioned the promoter was janky and if the promoter is as bad as I sometimes see Uncle Rickey complain about with some of his shows recently; then there may lie the source of the problem. If D.L. had cowardly actions backstage then he deserves to be called out. Nobody tells him to stop when he calls out people and goes too far with his jokes. And if you've watched D.L. you KNOW he can take it WAY too far. Does that make Monique mentioning his wife and family right? NO. When you got an issue with someone your issue is with THEM. Give all the smoke to them but leave the family out of it. I'm pretty sure D.L. said some disrespectful sh*t to Monique and it made her click out. We as black people gotta stop enabling bad behavior of our friends, family, etc. And that goes for BOTH sides. If you outta line, you just outta line and need to cut it out.

There was no dig at Monique's character other than simply pointing out that the situation could have been handled differently. The word of the day is humility. I think this would've prevented the whole thing. But since it didn't, you can defend yourself and brand without being vicious and dragging people that have nothing to do with the conflict into it. To me this equivalent to friends and family arguing on social media. It's childish. Thr public does not need to be involved in a disagreement between colleagues, management and promoters. Just like Facebook doesn't need to see family and friend quarrels. There is a time and place for EVERYTHING.

Also, if your humble and confident within no matter the order you will give the people what they want and they will love you regardless. This is RIDICULOUS and a DISGRACE! @@TwistedLyfofTV How do we know that DL was complaining? We only have the word of Monique..no one else. Also, he has paperwork which was more recent than her paperwork, stating he was headlining, along with printed material (flyers, etc). There is a time and place for everything, and Monique handled it wrong. The sad part is DL went against everyone who told him not to work with her, and this is his return. Mo should be talking to her husband/ manager and the promoters, not DL. Food for thought.

@@drezy07 No disrespect to you, but make it make sense. If he was being promoted as the headliner, hence interviews, posters, etc., then how did he go behind her back? The part that people have failed to understand is that DL invited Mo to do the show with him..this was his show. That being said, again, his paperwork from his contract states the date after Mo was supposedly contracted. The problem would lie with the promoters, NOT DL. I take no pleasure in seeing any of this, but being a grown up, you have to handle ur ish in a growish type of way. She went before him and purposely humiliated him AFTER hearing his supposed rant. Why didn't she take a few more steps to address this man face to face? As adults, we must 1st try to hear what the other side has to say before we make an assessment. Otherwise, we'll leave looking like the ass. Ijs.

I just wish when the Chris Rock/Will Smith issue occurred that comedians - even yourself - had encouraged healing. These are two brothers that aren't even violent but something clearly snapped in one. Instead every comedian, et al - jumped on this war wagon pitting one against the other. What's sad is before this - laughing at someone getting 'knocked the f#@+ out was what many comedians jokes were all about. As an OG in life just let this be an example that bringing a people together is better than helping tear themselves apart. One thing I agree with - it is TRULY a sad day! I think it's a nice sentiment to say okay, regardless of what the contract says, you can go first, but that's not how business is supposed to operate when you have a legally signed contract, agreed to by the promoters and both parties management. This is about business, and who can put the most people in the seats. I only saw one person calling the other one out of their name and that was Monique. Like DL said, first Lee Daniels was the problem, then Tyler Perry, Oprah and Netflix. I'm only seeing one common denominator here. You mean to tell me she's always right and everybody else is always wrong? 😳 I'm sorry I'm not buying it. This is not a both side situation. Monique's side is the only one that decided to air this dirty laundry instead of handling it behind the scenes like an adult. This is a lesson learned for d.l. Hughley to never f*** with her again.
