Ingredients
1 1/2 cup Toor Dal Arhar Dal
1/2 lal masoor dal
Turmeric Powder
Salt
Hing
2 Whole Red Chillies
1 spoon grated garlic
1 spoon grated Ginger
2 chopped Green Chillies
2 chopped Onions
Haldi, kashmiri lal mirch,dhaniya powder, salt
1 cup chopped Tomatoes
Half cup Water
Crushed kasuri methi
Garam masala
After realising oil add boiled dal and cook for around 5-7 mins
Heat ghee and oil in a kadhai and add jeera. Once it starts spluttering, add whole red chillies, garlic, ginger and green chillies. Saute for a minute till everything is fragrant
Add onions and saute for 2 mins and add haldi ,mirchi, dhaniya powder and salt and cook till the onion is brown and then add tomatoes saute for a minute and add half cup water n cook till they get tender and release their oil n then add crush kasuri methi ,garam masala after that add boiled dal and hot water n cook for atleast 10 mins .
For tempering:
1 tablespoon Ghee
1 teaspoon Jeera
Kashmiri lal mirch
Serve hot with rice and roti
