Do note that the TP Link AX10 does seem to offer better speeds on the 2.4 GHz band than this router, and it's 'peak' wifi 6 speed on 5ghz is also a bit higher when you're almost touching the router, but with 1 wall and 2 walls in between over distance, the D Link R15 had better speeds on 5ghz, which is why I said that the R15 has 'slightly better performance overall than the AX10'.

Wired extenders are always going to be better than wireless extenders. If you go with this over C6, you'll get wifi 6 in 5ghz band.

Both are good, but D Link is offering extender mode at a lower price. I did notice the ping to be 4-6 ms higher on this in some tests, but other than that, this is better.

D Link told me you can use up to 4 routers in mesh network, since I only have 1 router I couldn't test that, but it should be possible as there is an option of mesh in settings.

Shall we use this router for all types of network? Because in my area, here using BSNL ftth network. They are giving huawei EG8141A5 model. This modem only support for their network. I am confused. If you can clarify this. Note: BSNL connections are now managed by third parties like local cable tv operators, they are saying this.

I think this should work with most modern ISPs now, and even if this doesn't work directly without a mode, you should be able to connect the modem with this router and it'll work.

Yeah, 1 wan port for modem, 3 LAN ports for wired clients. This is really great in this budget, else for gigabit connection, you can also go with AX73 at much higher price if you want 500+ mbps with your wireless clients.

Bro i brought this router today but during set-up isn't showing my PPPOE user ID and password is incorrect although i have checked 1000 time my password and username is correct. That's a really odd issue, maybe try updating firmware manually by uploading file to it and then retry?

I don't think there's a point of getting DIR-1560 now since this seems to be better and more affordable. (except for lacking 1 LAN Port). AX10 is actually also not bad, but R15 is offering important extra features which I mentioned in video.

WiFi 6 didn't amaze me yet. (Yes, I have Wi-Fi 6 laptops talking over it) I wanted a wireless repeater and chose this. It is doing the work as expected but with some basic issues. 1. Speed - Doesn't match the speed of TP Link C80 i.e. my primary router (Maybe it has 2 MU-MIMO compared to 3 on C80) 2. Channel Selection menu : I was able to harvest 280Mbps by tweaking channel and width on my TP Link C80, but on this, I don't get an option (or maybe I coun't navigate to) 3. Boot time is another painful area, it takes quite a hefty time to reboot compared to TP Link C80.

@@TechReflex Using R15 in repeater mode with a WiFi 6 enabled laptop. It seems MU-MIMO has 2 simultaneous connection in R15 compared to 3 MU-MIMO in C80

@@atulanand you are of course going to get way lower speeds with the R15 set as a repeater, it's just how the extender tech works. And yeah, the R15 is 2 x 2 MU MIMO while the C80 is 3 x 3 MU MIMO which also affects performance, that's why there's also a significant difference in their price. If you used R15 as primary router, you'd have seen better results, but then you probably won't be able to use C80 as repeater. I personally got around 200 mbps with using R15 as a repeater in my second flat with AX73 (I have 300 mbps connection), which I thought was a really great result. Lastly, setting up R15 with a wifi 6 router as host router will give you better results, as currently you're not really taking advantage of wifi 6.

I purchased r15 and used 15 days approximately. No use of AI, static ip sucks. High ping issues. Old dir 816 and dir 825 are value for money. R15 is overhyped. Any one purchased this router please try to check ping time.

Only because of your comment I took the R15 back from the box, and set it back up and tested it. On wired I got the same ping as my AX73, on wireless I also got the same ping (speedtest server connecting to device, though in worst case scenario it was 4-6 ms higher). Also I had tried playing Halo infinite with this router, and didn't notice any increase in ping. I am also using this with Static IP. Did you update the firmware before testing it? As it had new firmware released just before I started testing it.

It's not supposed to be a flag actually, they're just colored stripes. Over longer distances, the DIR-2150 AC2100 was actually offering better speeds, probably because that's a 4 x 4 MU MIMO router, but that explains why that one is more expensive. But yeah overall I'd still go with this model, it's just very recently released and even I was surprised to see it not being available in markets like US yet.
