Stitch makes the silence groove. His use of space is really beautiful. Then Vocodah proceeded to murder the silence lol. Two very opposite styles there, must be really hard to judge.

Stitch did impress me here. However I think the stuff vocodah did is harder to do and make sound good. Good point about the loopstation competitions aren't like beatbox battles. Which leads me to believe good counters are significant. Maybe even more so when the styles are so different like in this case. Vocodahs counter might have been the deciding factor even for some. It did seem like he showed he can do stitch style with his sounds and in a more complex fashion on the fly in a matter of 10 seconds. Good to see vocodah on the stage grillin people again.

Im kinda suprised Stitch didnt win. I feel like this is one of those situations where battle style won out. Vocodah had a handful of places where the inward bass wasnt clean and small timing errors from what I hear. Whereas Stitch wasnt as intense but I dont see any errors at all, on top of insane complexity. I feel like if we were judging on how hard a round would be to replicate Stitch would hardcore take the cake. Just my two cents though, all the rounds were sick.

I would have voted Stitch for the first round because pound for pound it had better structure and complexity(difficulty). The same goes for Vocodah with the second round, because he connected better with the crowd and won on “battle points”. I would’ve voted Stitch for the whole battle because I think the difference in quality was greater for the first round, thus going to Stitch.
