The effect is like an octave vocalizer. Imogen Heap did it in her song "Hide & Seek" (worth a listen) and it basically just turns your voice into a chorus of you. And with Vessel's voice being so beautiful, I cry at this song every time.

when I saw this pop up I said "well this is gonna suck" this song was so powerful on its own and then when I watched the video with the visuals and the messages it was so much more. Can only listen to the song occasionally now bc of the video. Vessel is so amazing.

This track hits soooooo hard. No drops, no breakdowns, just raw emotion. When they play it live and the crowd joins in with "Oh god I wish you were here!" it's a moment of ritual. #worship 😭

It's a bittersweet one for me this.. it's one of my favourite Sleep Token songs however... it's also the second sleep token song I ever heard and the first song I sent to a girl I liked at the time and it became "our song" and we dated for short time so now it just reminds me of her 🙃 stupid beautiful song 😂

It’s a beautiful song! Music is such a beautiful thing in the fact that it can heal, and hold memories. Sometimes good memories and sometimes sad memories. lol in your case Dearden I hope they aren’t too sad! 😂😊 This is a very powerful song and we both loved it! 💜-Dallas

The emotion with this..🥺 I love the simplicity of this video, no big budget or fancy effects..the lyrics, visuals & messages that go with it, are just so powerful!!. That's what I love about this band, they do that so so well 🫶🏼

I think too many people build up certain songs like "omg you're gonna cry so much with the next song..." etc.. It brings so much anticipation and then often times it doesn't hit the same as if they just went in blind and it took them by surprise. I REALLY wish people would stop doing that. It's almost like spoiling a movie. I'm also sure, as a reactor, you feel like you have some kind of expectation that you are going to or have to cry, just going in. When the song doesn't hit you that way, you then feel like you need to explain why instead of just explaining how the song did affect you. Also, in my opinion, I think the video to this song significantly detracts from the song itself. Reading those occasional lines, as emotional and impactful as they are, were not in time with the music and weren't the actual lyrics. Having to switch your brain from feeling the music and hearing the lyrics, to then read the somewhat random and unexpected phrases on the screen just takes you out of the moment. Please people... Let them experience ST in their own way and don't spoil songs by building them up to something specific like how you expect it to hit them. It is ALWAYS better when song's take you by surprise because you have no expectations going in and are just experiencing the music like many of us did for the first time.

It’s definitely worth a second watch to really take time to read the words that pop up! It’s kind of hard to take it all in the first time around lol! Such a beautiful but heart wrenching song…this one is always hard for me to watch/listen to without tearing up. The vocal effect is very reminiscent of a musician called Imogen Heap (specifically her song Hide and Seek), she’s worth checking out as well! Also, that’s Vessel in the video! (You probably knew that but some people wonder :) )

I think the emotion really resonates with the person who "is" or "has" typically been the pursuer. If there was that person who you were close to and was the apple of your eye but it was never reciprocal or perma friend zoned and this was just your wish or desire...then this song hits hard. If you are the one being pursued then you probably are like awww that's sad but anyways!

This one hits hard. I cried a lot the first time I heard it and read the text in the backround of the video. I struggled with passive suicidal ideation for a long time so the words "I want to want to, live", fucking broke me. It also makes the theme of this album that much more visceral (with Atlantic being about Vessel's suicide attempt). Worship!

Vessel uses what they call a vocoder on his vocals which give it that harmonic aound. The lyrics in this song is devastating. For him to put it all out there, man! He's so courageous to share all of his pain with the world. He's such a beautiful, bent but not broken soul. 😇 I just wanna wrap him up in a hug 🫂😢. He's so special, i just hope he knows that. Til next time ladies. My favorite song on this album is next. Woo hoo 😅 Worship ❤

My heart breaks for him every time i hear this track. He's so vulnerable and fragile, I just want to give him one of those tight, squishy hugs and tell him everything will be ok. IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. Edit after watching: this song is something that hits you so much harder when you’re in a bad place. It’s so beautiful, well written, and raw. It’s one of their best songs to me due to that raw vulnerability.
