This gave me shivers. There is a confidence in a release like this, but also the vulnerability of a vocal only track. Agree with Johnny 100% with the desire for an acoustic version of this

This song is FUCKING BEAUTIFUL. The fact that an artist can release this as a single for arguably one of the biggest releases this year is ballsy af. For me, this band is becoming more and more special. A band I will truly never forget. Worship

The first time i hear this song, it moved me to tears. its haunting and beautiful. a desperate cry for love and validation. to feel something. the “oh god i wish you were here” pushed me to racking sobs. its someone who views themselves as nothing but is willing to be everything for the person they love. a cry to love and be loved and Vessel’s vocals are so poweful and beautiful and only add to the song. Another singer wouldn’t have gotten the same reaction from me. And the music video only reinforces the message with the words on screen. some of our deepest thoughts shoved in our face in black and white, almost forcing us to face them. We are afraid, we are broken, we are flawed but we are all still worthy and deserving of love and acceptance. To anyone reading this far, I see you. im here. we’ll do this together ❤️

It hits me pretty hard and this is isn’t the first time I’ve heard it, but this time I focused deeply on it. It’s painful and beautiful and hurts even more after watching the video for the first time a few days ago.

I really cannot wait until Friday to see how this album sounds from start to finish. All 3 songs they've put out lately (Alkaline, Love You Want, Fall For Me) have very unique identities. It makes me wonder what the rest of the songs are going to sound like and the anticipation is brutal.

There are two types of people, the ones who immediately thought of Hide and Sick by Imogen Heap and ones who are miserable cause they miss a late 90s pop banger.

PLEASE LISTEN TO SOME "MOVEMENTS" SONGS, VERY UNDERRATED BAND!
@jordanroberts15193 жыл бұрын
The people who won't like it are the people who listened to it on their phone speakers and not proper headphones. You can't catch all the intricacies without a proper pair of headphones. I disagree with Johnny on the over production of the vocals. If it were a 4 minute song of over production, then I'd agree. But the length makes it more intriguing especially how they added slight synth variations at the end of his runs as the song built.
@blackv00d003 жыл бұрын
I can't speak for him but I think Johnny may have been talking about the main vocal line throughout the song, not the layered vocoder harmonies underneath it. I don't necessarily disagree with him, but I love it just the way it is with a little more processing as well to fit the vibe of the song.

Thinking about this band from what I’ve seen and heard, and all the work they put in to build this mythology with the masks and the “deity” Sleep, etc. this really threw me off with the wide open vulnerability. Good song, though.
