I just seen them live in Pittsburgh last night! Easily the best performance I’ve ever witnessed lol sound, and visually. Unforgettable. I’m going to see Lorna shore in September,so it’ll be interesting to see how their performance compares! Fair to say it’ll be just as incredible !

When they would perform this song live, the bass player (III) would lie down on the stage and Vessel would straddle him while singing. And, uh. It definitely made you feel a certain kind of way 😳🥵 And for the record CUTTING SUGAR FROM THE SETLIST WAS A *MISTAKE* (mainly because I’ve never seen it performed in person, but just based on my feral screaming at their shows without it, I can’t imagine what I’d be doing if I saw this live 😂)

i love this song and its definitely a sexy song but i always feel like people gloss over the double meaning when they talk about it!! (sorry text wall incoming Im so normal about this band) the flipped meaning to this song is essentially "you can absolutely have too much of a good thing" - we all know that too much sugar is bad for you, and in this song, the person he's singing to IS his "sugar"!! this one is an example of the growing obsession and dependency on this "sugar", which if you listen to how he talks about this person in the second verse becomes a lot more clear ("my arms keep you in the room / barely let you move" and "let me wrap the chains / addicted to the pain"), on top of the sudden tonal change we hear when his voice gets rougher ("do you wanna see how far it goes / do you wanna test me now, my love? / you must be crazy if you think that i will give in so easily" and going from the more subdued "i've DEVELOPED a taste for you, now" to the aggressive, almost predatory phrasing of "'i've GOT a taste for you, now"). he NEEDS this person and is going to go to any length to keep them with him, even if it means hurting them or himself in the process!!! all that said Yes he knows Exactly what hes doing. this man loves to kiss and touch and straddle the others on stage He knows
