Is constantly starved for donations at her shrine, so going for a single coin is definitely plausible, at least in fanon - but unfortunately it's just a bottle cap. The chant is "Waki", which is short for "armpit" - another fandom gag is pointing out Reimu's detached sleeves leave her armpits exposed. 2: Cirno, font of memes extraordinaire. She's commonly associated with the number nine, specifically the character ⑨, from a hud explanation which labelled her as ⑨ - Idiot. you can see the ⑨ on the side. She's icy and cheerful, so she slides in happily with her own flair. 3: Daiyousei, Cirno's midboss from the first game involved in this set. Doesn't have a real known name or many distinguishing features, which is maybe why her box is so plain. 4: Letty when introduced calls herself the mastermind behind a particular incident to one of the characters. She's actually just another stage one boss, and gets the floor wiped with her, but the idea of calling her the "Black Curtain" (another term for mastermind, and why her box is black) originated from there. 5: So nanoka? Translated to Is that so? Is basically Rumia's fanon catchphrase. Her power is to make darkness surround her, which is what she's doing when she goes in. 6: Wriggle Nightbug is a firefly youkai, and a tomboyish girl in appearances, but this thing pulls no punches - calling her G (short for gokiburi, or Cockroach), having the box labelled "feminine boy", and she doesn't even land in it right. 7: Mystia, a sparrow youkai, is heavily associated with the sound of birds chirping, either romanised as Chinchin or Tntn. Unfortunately, this term is a slang term for penis. And she gets her wings stuck. From here, they can be mostly separated by original game. EoSD (0:16) 8: Meiling is the most notably chinese-themed character in the series, and lots of people call her Chuugoku (China) as a result. The knife in her ass is from Sakuya, who in fanon regularly has to deal with Meiling's incompetence and often ends up stuffing her full of knives. 9: Koakuma is another mid-stage boss with no name or distinguishing features. Given the stage in question is a library, however, she's usually depicted as a library assistant, for the much less mobile... 10: Patchouli is nicknamed Purple Bean Sprout thanks to her plant-themed name, and her box is labeled as such. Mukyu is another once-said line that has become a fanon catchphrase. 11: Different proportions in different games has lead to the running joke that sakuya pads her dress, which is why she's introduced as PAD. Depending on the fanartist, sakuya can be pretty... into her vampire mistresses, one of whom is labeled to receive the box she jumped into, "For Remilia Scarlet" 12: This box clarifies it's for the real remilia scarlet herself, and she jumps in with her catchphrase of Uu~, generally a childish sort of noise. Sakuya, who can stop time, sees her chance and strikes. 13: Flandre Scarlet is the first bonus boss of the series, and you need to get a one-credit/one-coin clear to unlock the chance to fight her. She's also incredibly destructive, which is why she shatters her box. PCB (and Marisa) 0:31 14: Alice is usually depicted as a lover/stalker of Marisa, the deuteragonist. She also likes dolls, so a marisa doll is the perfect way to lure her in. Generally any common fanon pairing you'll see here is going to go... into the funny-creepy extremes. 15: Marisa lives out in the forest and eats weird mushrooms, so both her box and chant reference them. Her actual entrance is Blazing Star, a spell card where she rocket-propels herself through anything in her way. Poor box never stood a chance. 16: Lily white is the Harbinger of spring, and brings spring wherever she arrives. The box she lands in changes from Winter to Spring when she jumps in. 17: The Prismriver sisters are a trio of sisters and a band, and are generally fought together, three characters as one boss. So naturally, they all arrive together, instruments at the ready. 18: Youmu, also known as Myon for a similar reason as to other people's catchphrases, has a human body and a spirit body. Unfortunately, they're both the same size as regularly humans and spirits, so if they both try to get in one box, they get stuck. 19: Yuyuko is a massive big eater in fanon and a little in canon, and thus she's lured in with food. 20: Bakeneko is a general term for Chen's species, being a demonic cat. Kuroneko Yamato is a nickname for Yamato Transport, a delivery company in japan, based on their logo resembling a Black Cat, so the box is labelled Kuroneko Yamato to indicate it's probably from them. 21: Ran-shama is a childish way Chen refers to Yakumo Ran, being Ran's servant. Ran herself is a servant to another, who lures her in through a gap. 22: Gaps like this one are how Yukari Yakumo travels around, but she's known for long periods of hibernation, and slept through her deadline. The chant is a mix of calling her an old lady (she's generally seen as a sort of matriarch figure) and a reference to a japanese pro-gamer Umehara Daigo. IN (0:53) 23: Another relationship turned perverted, this is Keine, who is generally the only common friend of Mokou, the next character. Here's she's chewing on a photo of youmu, despite it being made of bromide I think? She also has a were form in the ex stage, Ex Keine where her clothes turn green and she grows bull horns. Not relevant to her box, but... 24: Mokou herself arrives relatively normally, with a "Mokou has arrived!" and the box switching from log out to log in. Unfortunately, Keine plunges into her rear from behind, in her bullhorned were form, which results in mokou getting "caved by Ex Keine", a common phrase for getting destroyed by her. 25: Tewi the earth rabbit is a little shit and a cunning prankster. Rather than jumping in herself, she just chuckles and sets up a trap. The chant calls her a baka, but maybe that's just annoyance at her not doing what they're supposed to. 26: Reisen Udongein Inaba the moon rabbit is tewi's usual victim, and here she falls head-first into a pitfall trap. 27: She then calls for help from her master, Eirin, with a "tasukete Eirin!" (Help Me Eirin, from a memetic fan song). Unfortunately, Eirin dives in on the trapped Reisen... and then gets... very intimate. 28: Kaguya (who is labelled on the box as Teruyo based on a deliberate mispelling of her name) is commonly joked about being a neet who never leaves the house, which is why she doesn't show up. She's an immortal princess rival to the immortal drifter Mokou, which might be why they both have the login/out boxes... and why Kaguya's is from Apple. PoFV (1:07) 29: Medicine Melancholy is one of the more childish-looking characters who isn't a fairy, instead being a cursed doll, and here she's called Youjo (little girl). She's heavily associated with a poisonous flower, which is why her box is labelled Poison and has lyrics to a song called Poison on the top. 30: Kazami Yuuka, also known as Yuukarin, is an elegant and ladylike flower youkai who also happens to be terrifying overpowered. Clearly, she's not interested in playing along, which is why she destroys the box with her parasol. 31: Komachi Onozuka is a shinigami, hence the scythe... and huge slacker, which is why she's sleeping in. Her box reads Enma Hell, which may be a reference to the next guest. 32: Eiki is Komachi's boss, and is announced with a "the boss has arrived!". She's known for giving lectures, and scolds Komachi for being lazy while she's in the box. Unfortunately, komachi is known for being busty, and is now stuck in the box... but with her boss generally depicted as being one of the more flat characters in the cast and envious of komachi for it, bringing that up is a death sentence. 33: Shameimaru is the fastest character in gensokyo (barring time or teleportation bullshit), and arrives way to early. The chant makes a crude joke about her lightning speed meaning she came too soon. She's also known for being a lewd and indecent reporter, which is inflicted on the next one. MoF (1:19) 34: Momiji is a long-suffering acquaintance of Shameimaru, a white wolf tengu. In this case, she dives in because Aya stole her clothes, probably hoping to make lewd pictures of her. And considering the chant goes "momi momi", the sound effect for groping... she's definitely in trouble. 35: The aki sisters are infamously forgettable fall harvest gods, and in this case the two only throw in items associated with them (grapes and sweet potatoes). The chant thinks it looks good to eat. 36: Hina is a misfortune goddess, and is also infamous for her constant spinning on her stage. Her box is labelled misfortune, and she lands in the box still spinning. 37: Nitori is a Kappa, a species known in touhou for their tech-savviness and love of cucumbers, which is why her box is a brand of cucumber. The cloaking device is something she uses in her initial appearance. 38: Sanae is somewhat of a rival to reimu, who is somewhat infamous for gradually becoming more unhinged since her arrival in gensokyo (justified by her phrase of "You can't be held back by Common sense in gensokyo!") the box is labelled the wall of common sense, and as sanae powers straight through the chant says that common sense has been defeated. 39: Kanako is associated with both the rope and the pillars on her box (which are the onbashira her chant mentions). Not much else to say, really, other than the improvements on her box may represent her arrival in gensokyo or her attempts of modernising it... or just how they're usually depicted as floating around and behind her. 40: Suwako has a hat with eyes that is depicted as any number of horrible things. In this case, when she dived in head-first, it swallowed her whole. Continued...

SWR (1:35) 41: Iku's lightning summoning move resembles a disco-dance pose, so both the box and the chant yell Saturday Night Fever as she dies in with flair. 42: Tenshi, aka Tenko, is infamous for starting an incident and getting into lots of fights... just because she was bored. Considering the kind of ass-kicking she should have expected and indeed got from this, people often depict her as a masochist, and the remaining static from Iku's dive gives her a "pleasant buzz". SA (1:40) 43: Kisume is known for hiding in a bucket at all times, which she gets tipped from into the box itself. Her comment is just that she doesn't mind the box, either. 44: Both the box and the chant clearly build up to Parsee, a youkai basically made of pure envy - the box says it's for her, and the chant of Paru paru is a common catchphrase among multiple touhou characters for jealousy. Instead, the spider-youkai yamame steals her spot, with a musical flair (a lot of people see her as an idol-like figure). 45: Now the chant of Kumo (spider) and the box clearly point to Yamame, and she dives in again... much to parsee's annoyance at her taking two turns while parsee gets none. 46: Yuugi's chant is another Umehara Daigo meme. The dish she's lured in with is hers, and she's somewhat infamous for holding back in fights to avoid risking the sake spilling. She's successfully avoided spilling here as well. 47: Orin's box is labeled Kuroneko Corpse express, as she ferries bodies for her master to fuel the fires of hell. I don't know why it says it, but the chant says "Orin-rin Land is starting!" 48: Reiuji Utsuho is a crow youkai with the power of a sun god and is basically a living nuclear reactor. She's also incredibly stupid, which is why she's called a "nuclear chicken" and misses the box entirely. 49: Satori Komeiji is slingshot in by her third eye, which can read minds and is attached only by those... veins? The chant is just a nonsense word gag (Sudden Ring Ring (Sato Rin-rin), Satorin-rin), and she wonders what is going through their head. 50: One of Koishi Komeiji's poses resembles a japanese candy brand called Glico's signature product, which is why her chant is Glico. Koishi herself is a very weird case, in that she can only be remembered by people who have been told about her... which is why we only see her after the chant mentions her name. UFO (2:00) 51: Nazrin is a mouse youkai, which explains everything about her box. Unfortunately, one of the mice she commands steals the cheese before she can get it. 52: Tatara Kogasa lives to scare people, leading to the chant of "Sadism!" but in most cases, she's not very good at it. Her box is labeled after a plant called Devil's tongue, and rather than diving through herself, she sticks her karakasa tongue through and asks if she surprised the viewer. 53: Kumoi Ichirin is a somewhat light character on details, and the chant is only her name. This is partially because she's heavily associated with unzan, and her thoughts and the box reference him. 54: Unzan himself is a buff nyuudou who attacks with giant ghostly punches, usually protecting Ichirin. The Ora ora is a reference to Jojo's bizarre adventure, where people use ghost-like "stands" to attack, and Ichirin/Unzan is a common comparison point. 55: Murasa's associated with boats and sailing, which is why her box is for a shipping company. She's associated with boats and sailing partially because she's trying to sink them, which is why her box is swept away. 56: Toramaru Shou is generally portrayed as a well-meaning but somewhat goofy character, and always loses the Jeweled Pagoda she's supposed to protect. The box has a pun for jeweled pagoda on the side, and when shou dives through, she's confused, having expected it to be in the bait position... when it's actually on top of the box. The chant encourages her to not give up. 57: Hijiri uses various body-enhancing skills to perform superhuman feats, which is why she slides in without moving the box. She owns a flying ship, which is why her box is labelled for air delivery upon it. 58: Houjou Nue has the power to make things unidentifiable, and loves things being unknown. the box is labelled Identity Unknown, and rather than diving in, she makes the box unidentifiable (which makes the playable characters in her base game read them as UFOs). Even the chanter is confused. Etc. (2:19) 59: Hatate is a character who uses an old flip-phone styled camera to take photos. Her box and the photo taken (including aspect ratio) are based on this. She doesn't show up herself because she has a form of spirit photography that allows her to take photos from far away for the most part. 60: Suika is an oni capable of changing to any size. The chant just calls her their waifu as she stomps on the box and keeps going. 61: Rinnosuke is one of the very few male characters in touhou who has a name and a speaking role. He plays minor background roles, running a shop and helping repair some of the girls clothes. As the chant despairs that it's over, he sets down the box that reimu dived into at the start, and the cycle begins again.
