Last year when I test-drove the SMART #1, the single-pedal mode you mentioned in your 20:20 video, "no need to step on the brake," provided a different experience for me. After reaching speeds below 8 kilometers per hour, the regenerative braking no longer functioned automatically, requiring manual intervention by pressing the brake pedal to decelerate. I am unsure if #3 has addressed what seemed to be a bug-level design flaw in my perception. The suspension of the #1 SMART, especially noticeable in U-turns and rapid lane changes, and the throttle response speed under the SMART nameplate compared to the Model 3, were disappointing. Consequently, I did not bother test-driving the #3, which seemed to be just a coupe version.

Furthermore, its regenerative braking experience appears somewhat disjointed, unlike Tesla's throttle response, which consistently corresponds well to both acceleration and deceleration. The throttle control of SMART, when opened, gives a FEELING of jerky and fragmented movement.
