DRI had the idea of a political revolution, through music and verse. That message needs to be broadcasted again. We need to hear that anger, and that frustration. And then we need to unite, move forward, and make a better society.

Society doesn't get it. Gen X spent their whole lives telling people to question authority and not believe everything you see and hear. Apparently everyone, including us, forgot or ignored that message and are just another cog in the machine. The sheep run things and will cannibalize their own to protect the status quo.

they had a new ep last time they came thru buffalo. i brought my painters cap (i ever wore) and got them to sogn it. i brought party favors and these guys sound just as great as the 86-87 shows...the new stuff was more on the punk (they alwayshad metal riffs but like dayglo abortions...it was punk. i love the early slow version of snap, texas edge...these guys were cool, i did the madman from te crowd and got some laughs, but yeah...one of those albums that i know word for word (angry samoans unboxed era, dicks)...i was impressed that they had it and had new music...i was given an updated cap, come back to buffalo...the place was packed with hardly any promo. i will be the mad man "hooooold on" sounds like a high school pals father, his parents still known as madpeople. i come home to relax, im home, been home for 4 hours!

I became a Social Studies teacher because bands like this woke my ass up. I listen to bands like this during my planning period and my principal and other teachers think I'm nuts. I'm a handful in teachers meetings. They are always ready for me to say fuck you to the bureaucratic nonsense. One of my students found a video of me at a Naked Raygun show in 1985. Thanks guys.
