Kenji even tried to make games for the blind. Enemy zero was actually the first attempt at this (hence why the enemies are invisible. Having sight isn't necessarily an advantage. ) Had no idea he has been gone over a decade....very innovative individual

One of the shortest game but one of the most memorable. By now, I can repeat every dialogue in the game.

Ive never owned a 3do. Ive seen one or two for sale before and have been curious about it for years. I owned a Sega cd back in the 90's (own a model 2, and 2 cdx's now) and remember looking at game magazines and being jealous how much better the 3do games looked compared to my cd add-on counterparts. Ive never played this game on any console but I did notice the cover screams horror.

The closest thing I can think of to D on the early Sega CD based consoles was Mansion of Hidden Souls but even then that doesn't come close. I'd definitely check this out if you can dude. There's a good port on Sega Saturn!

3DO is a peculiar console to collect. Although I won't suggest it at the original price of $700 back in the day, but these days it can be bought for a more civilized price. I suggest watching some console and game reviews from the like of itscoolfromsaturn, LGR, Sega Lord X, CGR and Gamesack if you are still on the fence about it. Some games I suggest for a 3do starter pack include Shockwave, Return Fire, The Need For Speed, Gex and Road Rash. Hope this helps! ☺️

Warp is one of my favorite companies. Everything by them is a weird masterpiece.

Absolutely. From Short WARP to Kaze no Regret everything has a purpose.

What was the name of that puzzle game on the 3DO? I didn't think that was much of a masterpiece...

@@CasperEgas WARP games is not about masterpieces. It's about weird for the sake of being weird and sticking it to Sony.

@@lutfimakarim8258 I don't agree. Kenji was absolutely ready to stick it to Sony but he was still a professional. He made a game for the blind solely because no one else was making games for people with disabilities. You don't do that simply to be petty.

Playing this as an eleven-year old was trippy. Loved it.

Have you played Lunacy for Sega Saturn? It's up there with D and Enemy Zero when it comes to my favorite FMV Adventure games on the console! It's developed by System Sacom and is the spiritual successor to their 2 Mansion of Hidden Souls games on Sega CD/Saturn. I'd also highly recommend Juggernaut (PS1)! All have awesome atmosphere!

Thank you for the recommendation! I do enjoy a good adventure game. In Europe it was called Torico, so I knew it as that. I haven't finished it though, so I'd like to go back one day and finally get through it. It's a bit on the tough side figuring out some of the puzzles.

When were you born? If 1995 is one of your first clear gaming memories? My first ones are playing on the Commodore 64 with my brothers and parents when I was very little. I was born in 1984.

I was born in 1989. I do remember things from before this but they are murky memories. Like playing Super Mario Land and Tetris on my Gameboy in around 94'ish when I was living in an RAF tower block as a young kid. 1995 was when I started "clarifying" memories in my brain I guess? Like I remember the D magazine ad really vividly and playing Hexen and Magic Carpet. It must be great to have such great memories of the C64! Did you enjoy any games in particular?
@CasperEgas Жыл бұрын
@@ItsCoolFromSaturn Oh, I loved playing Epyx' Winter Games with my family. Everybody failing at figure skating and loving the biathlon. My father used to play Crystals of Zong and Blue Max a lot, even though he hardly touched any videogames after the C64 era. I also liked Verkeersrally (Traffix) a lot, in which you needed to get to bombs in the city on time, but strangly enough, you had to pay attention to the traffic laws while doing that. The second player would help with a paper map and could try to figure out where the next bomb would be using clues.

I did play D2 now for several hours today. I really like it! It should have played it earlier. No idea why I didn't. Shame it never got a PAL release.
